Undoubtedly some truth in it.

I always compare this with what Pochettino said when he was coming towards the end of his time when people try to make Conte out as some kind of martyr - one was a manager who wanted to illicit change and move the club forward, one was a self serving cunt who wanted to blow things up and get sent packing as a result.

Frank's fuck up. Johnson and his camp said play me or sell me. His family are very influential. Johnson leaving upset many within the squad and was the last straw for Frank.



He was home grown and available. We needed creative players, but nothing available.

There was a time ( not that long ago ) that Villa and The Toon ( whilst considered “ big “ clubs ; and rightly so ) weren’t in our ballpark. Now , all of a sudden we’re aspiring to achieve what they did aka
“ bouncing back “ .

How many of our players get into any of the top 5 teams now? None.
Watching squad players at city and thinking if stones and ake were our centre backs we probably wouldn’t be going down.
