Interesting that the bottom 6 sides have managed 5 wins between them in the last 6 rounds of fixtures.
And 2 of those were Wolves.
5 wins in 36 matches. Us and Leeds are the only 2 to have not won one.
so the other two (Forest and Wham) have done 3 wins in 12 matches? tbh that is borderline relegation form. We have been in definite nailed-on relegation form. Worst team in league in 26.

Burnley, WH and Forest have won one each in their last 6.
WH and Forest have drawn 3 each.

If they carry on like that, we could probably get away with 2 wins and a draw.
Obviously nothing we have done in the prior 15 games or so suggests we can do that.

However, on the flip side. Of our first 7 games we won 4 and drew 2. One of those wins was Leeds away. Drew Vs Wolves and Brighton. So there's hope we can pick up some points in the reverse fixtures.

Yes. There is no doubt that we have the most capable squad in the relegation fight, even with the current injury load. We therefore have to be optimistic!! COYS. CO RDZ!

We need some sensible coaching that the players buy into.
No reason that can't lead to 2 wins and draw. At least.
Tudor was a mess. He had no idea what he was doing and the out of position players caused chaos.
Hopefully De Zerbi keeps it totally sensible and plays players in their strongest positions and adapts his formation to make it happen.

It’s all about confidence and momentum : a point at Sunderland gets us going .

We just need to get something on Sunday.

Even a credible ( and I reiterate credible) performance and a jammy narrow defeat could be survivable .

Safe to say Brighton at home is the Mother of must-wins .

I never really subscribed to the Forest game being as big as others did, although we definitely didnt want to lose it. This one though I have always thought is massive and especially now we have De Zerbi in. If we win it puts huge doubt in the minds of the other teams. They'll think, wait a minute, De Zerbi has sorted them out already. Win and it is a huge psychological advantage.

It will also have a hugely positive psychological boost fir the fanbase .

A win would have a greatly desired effect on my anxiety levels and I’m assuming everyone else’s.

I'm not hopeful, yet.
I'm really happy about the de zerbi appointment but this squad isn't going to start playing like a football team overnight and maybe not in time
Plus I'm not pinning my hopes on the players coming back from injury. They won't ever get up to full match fitness before the end of the season. I also don't rate any of them highly either. They've all been as rotten as the rest of the squad when fit.
all this. no returning player is going to help us at this point and until we show we are a functioning squad there's no reason to be hopeful. people thinking we're going to win two matches at this point are huffing glue. i think de zerbi is a good appointment long term but i'm not at all convinced he's the one to triage this squad to safety. i've got a decent payout on offer for my bet on us going down and i'm still not cashing out

Maybe it's just me but while I bet on a lot of football games, I never bet against the team I support.

Sick of these fucking soft wankers honestly - Kudus, Kulusevski, Solanke, Maddison, Bentancur, Odobert, etc - all sitting around collecting their salary not playing while the club get relegated, get rid of the lot of them!! Fucking sick of it!!

I get his general point, as opposed to specific players injuries. Flange used the return of players right about now as justification for non spend in January, and here we are.
That’s an issue with the twats running the club rather than the players.

He’s named individual players who the majority of have significant injuries with Deki’s potentially being career ending.

They’ve incurred these injuries playing for the club, is he really insinuating they shouldn’t be paid while injured?!

Brain dead post IMHO.

I already gave you the names of said pussies

Bold players are probably lucky they have elite health care. Most of us could end up disabled with the injuries they have sustained.
Non bold players have sustained the sort of injuries that will literally prevent you from walking without serious pain for months.

But they're pussies.
Riiiiight.

The specifics of naming people yes, the overall situation does need a much more direct calling out.

He’s not doing that though is he?! By his own admission!

The injury crisis needs a deep dive, whether that’s down to the tactics/over playing certain players, the medical team or the pitch etc. The clueless behaviour in the transfer window? Well we all know what should happen re the personnel in charge of recruitment don’t we?!
