I think we are the most likely of the four to go down. But there is hope. It's between us and spam, as others have said.
I've been posting on here for months now that we are the most dysfunctional if not the worst team in the league, that the infecting inexorable fall into the bottom 3 was inevitable with the narrative the way it was going, and it would take a miracle for us to turn it around in time... even under Tudor. i had accepted our fate

Now I think there is a glimmer of hope
But this game against Wolves is our Hail Mary moment.

We’re down with anything but a victory this weekend.
I remember someone on SC once couldn't comprehend the meaning of a 6 pointer.

But it really is crucial.

Had we won against Forest, West Ham, Palace and Fulham in 2026 we'd have 42 points.

Fulham would have 42
Palace would have 40
Forest would have 33
West Ham would have 30

Even if we swapped 2 of those wins with actual wins, say City away and Everton, we'd still have 36 points and 2 teams to keep us afloat.

This is where we've properly fucked up this season. We've played teams around us and lost, but showed up and beat teams where it didn't mean as much to the table.

You’re100 % correct.

But all we can do is look forwards now .

Will if Keane says that I can now stop taking Vallium

The reality is if it's not 3 points this Saturday then forget it

If can't beat worst team in league deserve to go down

Sadly can see West Ham winning

These mental gymnastics need to stop, dont do it to yourselves. The game against Wolves is a decider. They are already down, if we dont win, thats it.
I don't agree.... I can see us picking up a point against Wolves and losing to Villa but beating Leeds, customary defeat against the Chavs and winning against Everton on the last day of the season to get to 38 points. I can see both Forest and West Ham also finishing on 38 points which would see us safe on goal difference. But yes, a win against Wolves would be a real boost to our survival chances.

We probably need 7-10 points to be safe, when and who we get them from is irrelevant

Stating the obvious of course but a win against Wolves would give us a huge lift to hopefully kick us on to get the points needed. We will need to show nearly Euro chasing form though and that definitely remains in question .

Did the same last season. Lost to two relegated teams at home.

I still get pissed off with the Brighton game , look at the shape of the team when we are trying to defend a lead with 3 mins to go , Brighton had 4 players unmarked in the box , it’s just utterly pathetic . We deserve to be where we are and whether we went down or stayed up we need to tear this team apart and start again .

I agree with tearing this team up. It needs dismantling. The squad is cursed.

But it would be so much easier to do in the premier league without a relegation firesale

It wasn’t the shape of the team, it was the fact that Danso chose to take a touch and lost it instead of booting it clear. Both full backs were at fault in the lead up. Spence went on a run up to their pen area and ended up on his backside , laid there for 20 seconds or so and jogged back. Never got back to his position where Bergvall had dropped back to cover him. Porro failed to stay with his winger so Palhinha had to leave the middle to go and mark the winger. Makes us wide open in the middle but still wouldn’t have happened if Danso had booted it.
Sounds like Spence will be playing v Wolves as Udogie is injured .Will need a better attitude than what he showed v Brighton.

I’m not sure about that. I think we’ve a squad of players who are very comfortable. Playing in the prem with 100k per week hitting the bank account. Unlikely to move clubs as they are lazy as fuck.

Now, maybe in the Champ, on half the money. There’s a motivation for them to get to fuck out.

I think it’ll be easier to shift players, but we’ll get a lot less money for them. But I keep being told on here that it’s not my money, so why should I care?

Let it go ; would be my advice.

We’re one point closer to where we need to be because of it . And that’s good .

( Apologies for the “ tough love “ approach, you can thank me later ) .
