The only thing that mattered today was winning, however ugly to stop the rot of 15 windless games.
We can only really concentrate on our own patch. The concern is though the Spammers since they turned their season around against us are not a relegation side. They have 6 wins 4 draws 3 defeats from 13 games. Woolwich only have 2 more points than them over those 13 games. That’s Top 6 form from the Spammers over 13 games. We may have to pick up 9-10 points from our last 4 games if they keep going at that rate.
Only teams ever relegated in a 38 game season after picking up the mythical 40 points, the so called benchmark for survival are:
Spammers (42) 2002/03
Bolton (40) 1997/98
Sunderland (40) 1996/97

Gallagher got pulled up for holding a player at a corner today and he didn't even hand ball it.
Refs are crap, inconsistent and are worse with VAR.

Absolutely; for decades we were derided as
“ Spursy “ often because we couldn’t just
“ win ugly” .
I don’t care how ugly our next four wins are ; as long as they happen .
Points mean prizes , and all that .
Hopefully the players get some confidence and belief from this win , because you can see a huge lack of belief in most of the players . But we/they shouldn't underestimate this result , Wolves have been our bogey team for years , 1 win and 2 draws in the last 8 games .
There is definitely a distinct lack of footballing quality in our team and IMO many players that lack character and heart .
I would like to think that Kinsky's big save at the end could be a turning point for us , as in past years that goes in and devastates hopes .
Finally winning will hopefully give the players belief and courage , only takes one player to take the team by the scruff of the neck and drag them to playing more positively .

the wolves result really doesn’t change anything for me. If anything it’s just cemented it for me. We look bereft of any quality going forward, and that’s without Simmons and Solanke being injured.
