Newcastle on 42 points, lost fourcin a row and playing Brighton, Forest, West Ham and Fulham. Not saying they are in trouble, but they are playing against Forest and West Ham and two solid teams.
Forest matters little. Even a loss to West Ham isn’t that big a deal.

They’ve got 8 points on us. We’d need to win 3 of 4 and that’s have to lose every game.

We’ve just scraped a win against the worst team in the league. Hard to imagine spurs win 3 of 4.

Think that late Spam goal - added to the Solanke and Xavi injuries - makes it very very tough to see us getting out of this. We are playing slightly better now we're at least attempting to play football but its' too little too late with too many injuries to the guys who can actually football.

But if we do drop and De Zerbi stays I've no doubt whatsoever we'll come straight back up. Teams that play proper football usually walk the Champo. And even if we have a fire sale there's enough talent in our Academy and wider squad to play the football De Zerbi will want to.

Going down will be utter shite but it won't end the Club. We'll be back better and stronger for it hopefully.

WHAM got away lightly in that match , fortune smiled on them and they got a jammy win . ( I’ve watched it ) .

These breaks can go both ways .

We’re still very much in chins up tits out territory imo .*

* with much gratitude to Carrie Fi for teaching me that wonderfully lyrical phrase.I love it .

I think Brentford next week is the biggest game for us. Santo will also know it and hopefully West Ham fluff their lines, or we gain an unlikely win at Villa.

Romero and Van De Ven and of course Fearful Frank, plus the 2 planks are most to blame for this situation but we have poor strikers. Honestly they might be the worst performing un the PL. Shockingly average.

And we should come straight back but much, if not all of that will be on ENIC. No question at all.

To be Frank :frankthankyou:

I just want this season to be over with. One way or the other.
Because Im not even sure if we will benefit long term from this season should we stay up.
I just can't see our owners make the changes in the summer which are required.

But that’s me rationalising and finding positive things in case of Relegation.

Of course I want us to stay up but there are maybe one or two players that I would feel sorry for apart from our fans.
And the stars are not alligning for Spurs to stay up that’s for sure.

Chelsea away 3 days before our final game against Everton ?
With our mentality monsters on the field ? Lol

If I could skip 3 or 4 weeks of my life I would skip them right now...

Don’t say that ; I fell asleep on the sofa , on purpose, on Friday and awoke at 10 pm to read the news from Sunderland.

TLDR : I’ve tried it and it doesn’t work .

Think too many people are downplaying our win.

It's a huge confidence booster and we could have won by more. Team is heading in the right direction. Just because Wolves are bottom doesn't mean we have to outplay them and hit them for six. Ask Woolwich, Villa and Liverpool how they got on at Molineux in recent weeks.

We now have a glimmer of hope.

Thats positive. Surely...We'll know the result and what needs to be done before we play our corresponding fixture.
There's no doubt plenty of Spam fans right now spitting feathers at the advantage that gives us.
It could be a positive or it could be a negative.
If Brentford win we can go into Villa knowing a draw is a good point. Brentford losing would mean we have to going into the Villa game knowing realistically we have to win.
Our attitude going into the next few games will be dependent on how WH do.
Think I would rather we both played at the same time for the last 4, but that’s not going to happen.

And I'll raise you :frankwtf: :ange-snarl: not quite sure the point you make. Other than the obvious broken clock BS. We didnt even bother with the a pic for Tudor or Stellini... or prehaps you rate Stellin higher. Nuno was succeeded by three coaches he knows more than. Conte quit so not exactly a raging success. He is also better than Fat Ange and Thomas Wank but that's a huge pool.

Assume now that chelski made the FA cup final on 16th May that we will end up playing them on 20th or 21st may before the last game of season on 24th.
Thats a decent outcome for us as the players will either still be on piss after winning or will be gutted after a loss. Either way, they won't be full strength against us for it.
Exactly one year after Bilbao if it’s 21 May. Also happens to be my Birthday

For fuck sake.

Newcastle are in terrible form and play West Ham and Forest. Lose to those two and you never know...

I think if we beat Villa it brings Leeds and Newcastle ( less so Newcastle) back into it.
The problem is we play after all them. If burnley play like they did against city they could at least draw with Leeds.
Newcastle do have to play forest and west ham ( them two are in better form than Leeds and Newcastle) so if we all keep winning it sucks Newcastle into the equation

Newcastle on 42 points, lost fourcin a row and playing Brighton, Forest, West Ham and Fulham. Not saying they are in trouble, but they are playing against Forest and West Ham and two solid teams.
Funnily enough I came here to mention I just saw a Tik Tok arguing that Newcastle needs to be considered more to go down.

Are you sure this lot would walk the championship? Most of em cant stay fit.

We need West Ham picking up no more than 5 points - we then need 7

West Ham have got draw specialists Brentford next. I think they draw, we lose/draw with Villa. That sets the following weekend up as absolutely huge - we’re at home to Leeds and West Ham play Woolwich - a chance to leapfrog them on GD.

We lose to Chelsea, they lose up at Newcastle and it’s a last day shoot out
And the scenario you just described is the best case. Going into the final day ahead on gold difference is the best chance we have

No mate.

We are 3 points closer to Forest and Leeds United than we were @ 16.30pm yesterday.

No Problem Yes GIF by Vevo
Shit I forgot about that, we've gained points on Aston Villa too.

Well the curse is real but you have to look at our wider squad: Lankshear is already one of the Champo's best young Strikers; Devine; Vusco; Donley; Phillips; Dorrington... Even assuming a firesale we'll have a host of Champo experienced players to slot in who will acquit themselves well.

Assuming De Zerbi stays and we play "football" - yes, we'll walk the Championship much like Burnley did under Kompany and with the extra games we'll come back up having played a lot of the Academy and loanees with high potential throughout.

So yeah... it'll be fucking shit to be relegated but there is the possibility we can use it to come back stronger. Obviously that requires competent leadership so... 🤷‍♂️

So spammers will be playing all the next 3 games before us. That's the same when Leicester were playing all their games before us 10 years ago..

Sigh...
Of all the thing to complain about. Refs, injuries, etc. This really is a nonsense. I'd agree in a title race but not relegation.

Its a bog advantage to go second. If west ham beat Brentford then we know we have to try beat villa and not be happy with a draw. Same for Chelsea game

The way the team plays, without commitment and without enthusiasm, shows that there is something more wrong at the club. It is somewhat simplistic than just blaming Thomas Frank for everything, as I see some Spurs media doing. Neither Tudor nor De Zerbi seem to be able to do better, on the contrary. It is the players' attitude that is wrong and then a club management that wanted to save on player purchases, as they thought that Frank at Brentford was used to working with a small budget for player acquisitions.

Only a miracle can save us from relegation. There is hope, but it's hard to be optimistic when we look at how the team is playing. Against Wolves we were lucky because you couldn't even see that we were fighting for our lives in the Premier League.
