West Ham literally have no injuries and a fully fit squad. We are missing nearly all our best players. We don't get penalties. We'll be the only team at the end of the premier league season not to have been awarded a penalty. We get players sent off for anything close to the threshold where you see other teams get away with it. Its all cursed. You can't for a second think we have a chance of surviving. How could you? Its beyond faith to think we have any chance when the whole world is working against you like this.

Relegation is just written in the stars. Its the perfect storm. And now West Ham are getting every single bit of luck imaginable. This goes way beyond football. There is a higher power who has already decided that we are relegated.

BUT I TELL YOU ONE THING! If we do stay up then it'll be an incredible achievement. No other team could survive the nonsense we've been put through all season.

Being the best creator at Tottenham this season is a tallest dwarf contest.

We got rid of BJ who scored 11 and created 5 last year and replaced with 2 goals and 5 assists Xavi - thems the facts.

People moaned about BJ’s all round game - gives the ball away, doesn’t beat a man - Xavi is exactly the same but a poorer finisher.

He has the athleticism of an asthmatic field mouse that just stubbed its toe.

Let's not try and move the goalposts, THE point is that he's the best creator at the club this season and if he's not on the pitch to create then how are we going to create chances to score goals, do you actually understand the point here?

Couldn't really give a stuff about Johnson and if you actually watched him play outside of his G/A his all round game was poor and even then this season his G/A dried up anyway.

I’m not moving the goal posts - 5 assists and 2 goals - we won’t miss him. Take away the Brentford and Brighton games and he has done virtually nothing all season.

We scored after he went off on Saturday.

We won the Europa with no creativity in the final.

We need to be stodgy, and keep chipping away - nick a goal like we did Saturday - that’s how we survive this. Not having 5ft nothing weakling giving the ball away 80% of the time and then when he does get in a great position - missing easy chances.

As much as I think it's bent/bias refs....
Villa haven't had one yet.
Burnley, Forest and Everton have only had 2 each.
Even refs faves Arse have "only" had 4.
Way out in front? Brentford with 9. 2 more than the next teams.

Villa next will be interesting as to whether any penalties are given and why.

I hope you're right.

The only stat we were behind on Vs Wolves was jogging. Ahead/level by every other metric.
There's definitely been an upward trend since RDZ came in.

Saturday wasn't pretty, I totally agree. But for large parts of this match I observed things I've barely seen for over a year

1) Accurate passing
2) Players taking a ball under control
3) Players willing to take the ball under pressure
4) Those players coming away with the ball

It wasn't perfect, but it was markedly better than the dross we've seen for months.
In fact, had we been a bit more "interesting" in the last 3rd, it would have really changed how we viewed the game.
Given our most advanced player in the first half, where were were better, was Solanke, and all he does is chase after the ball, it's hardly a surprise.

My predictor is the following

Game week 35

Brentford vs West Ham - Draw
Chelsea vs Forest - Chelsea
Villa vs Spurs - Draw

Game week 36

West Ham vs Woolwich - Woolwich win
Forest vs Newcastle - Draw
Tottenham vs Leeds - Tottenham win

Game week 37

Newcastle vs West Ham - Draw
United vs Forest - United
Chelsea vs Tottenham - Chelsea

Game week 38

West Ham vs Leeds - West Ham
Forest vs Bournemouth - Draw
Tottenham vs Everton - Tottenham

Would leave us, West Ham and Forest all on 41 points - GD keeping us and Forest up

Leeds have not been in this for ages - they will beat Burnley on Friday and be on 43 points and on the beach for us hopefully
On the beach for Wham also.

I'm so fucking pissed off we're in this situation. It's absolutely disgraceful and whatever happens at the end of the season, those two fuckwits Vinai and Lange need to be fucked out of the club. They are complete failures.
Hard to enjoy anything at the moment with the shit going on with our club. With the money and resources we have, we should be nowhere near this position.
We are very likely going down. Up until this gameweek I always had something in the back of my mind saying we'll survive, but everything is going against us.
Can't believe what I'm witnessing. I've paid so much money over the years on tickets and merch and at the stadium supporting this club. They have fucked our money away the cunts. Shocking investing in shitty mediocre players has left us with a championship level squad and its very fitting that that's where we're heading now

"Taylor made the right decision to show Andre yellow"

INCIDENT: During Tottenham's win at Wolves, Andre caught Yves Bissouma in the middle of the park with a tough tackle. Anthony Taylor was awarded a yellow card. There were Spurs calls for a red.

DERMOT SAYS: " I think yes. He slips when he goes to make the tackle, no force and intensity, and it's low. I think Anthony Taylor has got it right. He doesn't make the challenge he intended to make.

BOTHROYD SAYS: "I think he slips, he's losing balance. He's falling into the challenge. These challenges used to happen every week. Andre is with two feet at one point, but when he arrives at Bissouma, I think he only uses one foot.

Comparing CL to PL here, but how is a slip for Andre here any different to the more obvious slip/stuck boot for Johnson in the CL vs Copenhagen when his leading foot bounced off the trailing leg?

"Not meaning it" isn't usually an excuse.

We have had some shitty decisions and it def smells a bit bent, but I would say far less so on the penalties front.

We haven’t spent much time in the oppositions box - that’s always a key component.

I’m struggling to think of many pens we should have had.

It’s the ridiculous yellow cards for first offences, having goals ruled out for “pushes” and then allowed to stand against us for the exact same action. The Xavi red against Liverpool despite VVD getting nothing a year earlier - the challenge on Saturday going without a red. There the ones that stick in mind.

Penalties really do get massive media attention, which makes me wonder if that's why they don't get those "wrong" as often.
I agree on the fact refs book our players in a blink, but it's even worse than that, they're giving soft, really soft, free kicks against us at every opportunity. It really destroys any momentum or opportunity. Ref watch on a Monday morning aren't looking at incidents like that. Refs can get away with influencing the eb and flow of a match without raising any major red flags.

No doubt injuries have caused us dearly. However on paper we have a half decent squad who should at least be bouncing around mid-table and safe from a relegation battle.
The main reason this isn't the case imo, is because pretty much every squad player, to a man, has been dogshite for the majority of the season.

Honestly I can’t predict anything. I think we’ve fucked it but equally it wouldn’t surprise me if we escaped by the skin of our teeth.

Agree. Over half of the season under Frank we don’t even get in the box so it’s hard to get pens if you don’t. Plus we no longer have the England captain playing for us, which definitely makes a difference.

I think we're fucked. Thought we had a bit of hope when De Zerbi was appointed and even after Brighton but we dont create many chances at the best of times, we have no one that can do that now. More than anything though its the form of West Ham and Forest, they score goals, can keep clean sheets and just arent losing games. There is no one else getting dragged in so basically unless one of those 2 collapses completely then we're done.
