Forest could be right in the shit

Chelsea away
Newcastle
Man u away
Bournemouth away

Really could lose all 4 of those, Newcastle the easiest of that bunch but that comes 3 days after they will have worked their ass off to get to a European final
The first 2 look much harder on paper than they are in reality given Chelsea and Newcastle's recent form but I think the Europa distraction helps this weekend, as well as Chelsea having binned off Linkedin Liam.

Newcastle's the concerning one. They got a good win vs Brighton but that is not a team we can rely on, especially away from home.

My guess is they'll get at least 3-4 points and be fine but maybe a loss at Chelsea makes them nervy. Fingers crossed!

I don't know why people keep dissing Newcastle.
If Chelsea turn up, Forest are in the doodoo and they going down...

Let's see.

Forest are now in a slightly difficult place because of our win. A real dilemma in terms of tean selection tomorrow and undoubtedly at higher or increased risk of injury to their players, i they play their strongest 11, but equally we are within touching distance and they can't guarantee that West Ham won't win next weekend.

I watched them play the Goons and they were unlucky to lose.
They smashed Brighton today.
Our form 2 games past bears no relation to where we are today.
They’ve lost 16 league matches, same as us. I don’t think anyone would be claiming we’ve been anywhere near satisfactory.

They’ve been terrible for the entire duration of the campaign. They’re safe with that Brighton win but they are one of the clear underperformers of the season.

It’s all OPTA-esque speculation at this time of the season, and given what’s at stake it’s all BS frankly.

Normal analysis just doesn’t apply anymore.

All we have to do is WIN EVERY GAME ; it shouldn’t be beyond us in the real world , in all honesty. And I’m actually being serious.

Simple as .

( You’re welcome to disagree obvs ) .

Newcastle have been up and down but now they are up.
If I were a gambling man I would have a large punt on them beating Forest.

I'll bet the OPTA stats turn out to be true at the end of this season,

I Hope Please GIF

They WON’T because they’re based on short-term form ; and make no allowance for objective factors like “ changing a manager “
or less definable factors like “ momentum “ and “ belief that we’re going to get out of this quagmire “ .

That’s my issue with OPTA fwiw .

There’s a real world out there for goodness sake .

Snap out of it Brother Sudoku .

They're always capable of putting in a good performance, but they're equally capable of putting in an absolute stinker. 4 away wins all season, manager's a dead man walking, nothing to play for...

Think any result in that fixture wouldn't surprise me, but no reason at all to be bullish about a Newcastle win based on the season they've had.
