We need to find 5 points from 9 somehow. Yes spam aren't great but they do have grit and determination. They will squeeze 2 wins from final games.
To be fair they arent playing badly. Hit the woodwork against Brentford 3 times , was a top heavy result, yesterday after the first 15 mins they were well in it, had a gilt edged chance to go 1-0 up. Think they're capable of getting 2 wins but its their lack of goals and away form that could get them. But we have to have the attitude they will win both games and absolutely need to beat Leeds tonight.

I'm currently still saying 5 wins from 5.
We're 2 in.
3 to go.

Spammer is proper broken.
Tears and anger. I would take the piss but seriously think I would get head punched.

Thing is the Championship were all singing 'Tottenham Away Ole, Ole'. No one sang 'West Ham Away Ole, Ole'.
Guess the Championship don't like punching down.

I think that people continue to under estimate the challenge of this battle.

The reason there are os many twists and turns in relegation battles every season is because every game comes with a huge amount of pressure.

The West Ham result was huge for us as the players will now know that it’s firmly in our hands. Let’s hope that gives them the little bit of freedom to show the quality and get us over the line.

Don't see West ham overturning 5 point gap in 2 games and ourselves not winning a single point either

So I stick to it being over if we win tonight
It's a minor point, but it'll only be a four point gap if we beat Leeds. A five point gap would have left us needing only a draw from either of our final two games to be certain; a four point gap still leaves us either needing a win or WH dropping points.

I love your positivity but its really not that big of a gap. Yes 5 points in 2 games sounds a difficult task but even if we do win tonight I still think West ham win both remaining games. That leaves us needing either something from Chelsea (highly unlikely) and then the dreaded last game scenario. West ham could go ahead v Leeds to put them in the box seat to stay up and we could quite comfortably shit the bed v Everton in that situation.

Goal difference is insurmountable. So it really would be 5 points
Leaving us just needing 1 point out of 6 assuming west ham can win they're remaining two which is finding unlikely

I just don't see West ham beating Newcastle if we win today, they'll be mentally done, and won't have it in them to go to st James and get a win .

But baby steps really, it could have all gone horribly wrong 12 hours from now

I think it all depends on how much hope they have going into that game.

We win today and their efforts will be a gesture, we don't win today and they are 1 win away from leapfrogging us, having a genuine chance of surviving going into their final game against Leeds at home.

1 or 2 points behind with fixtures away at Newcastle and at home to Leeds leaves them not just with hope but very good hope compared to our final two games that are by far tougher than theirs.

Simply put we have to win tonight.

West Ham to contact PGMO for further explanation on disallowed goal

West Ham will be contacting PGMO to raise concerns about yesterday's VAR decision and request further explanation, Sky Sports News understands.

Relegation-battling West Ham had a stoppage-time equaliser from Callum Wilson ruled out for a foul by Pablo on Woolwich goalkeeper David Raya, but the check took more than four minutes as VAR Darren England watched several replays before sending referee Chris Kavanagh to the screen.

Here is the Ref Watch panel's verdict on the incident...

Fucking cunts.

If they wanna play that game, shall we contact the PGMO about all the decisions that have done us dirty?
Off the top of my head head;
  1. Weak red for Xavi
  2. Foul for Ekitike goal
  3. Wrongly disallowed Muani goal Vs arse
  4. Foul for Fulham goal
  5. No penalty or red card for VVD foul on Richarlison
  6. No red for Brobbey
  7. or Andre
  8. No penalty for Everton Vs Spam
  9. Bonus one for Romero goal being disallowed away to West Ham when VDV was fouled into KWP

Well so we fucking should, every team should be complaining.

I was thinking in the moment of that VAR call last night, that not only does it take a point away from them, which itself makes Leeds safe, but it's also absolutely soul destroying.
It'll go one of 2 ways, it'll either fire them up to play out of their skins in the next 2, or they're just gonna drop their shoulders and crawl through them.

With 3 games to go I think in our current situation we couldn't ask for any more than it's in our own hands , we can decide our own fate .

Far better than relying on results of others at this stage .

We're currently one point ahead. A win against Leeds makes it four points. Our goal difference superiority makes no difference if West Ham win both, however unlikely. If they were to win both, we'd need at least one win from either Chelsea or Everton to survive. A loss and a draw would not be good enough.
