We lost that match 2-0. Another one of those funny seasons where, despite indifferent league form, we actually won a trophy.

FA Cup quarter-final 1987. Wimbledon 0 Spurs 2 (Waddle, Hoddle). In the previous round Wimbledon had knocked Everton out at Plough Lane. Basically, they kicked them off the pitch, with loads of other shithousery involved as well.
They tried the same with us, it didn't work. A great cup game win for us.

People throw the word legend around too easily. For us this is one, King, Perryman, Ardiles. It's more than just appearances or goals. It's about the depth of connection. I'd been angry with Kane but at that Bayern game I kind of relented. I think he gets it and has a few regrets. Mabbutt bled Spurs.
