The other thing that is notable, apart from the prices, is that the men’s sizes only go up to ‘L’ and then stop. Unlike today where they’d be a few X’s in front of that final L.
Cleverer people than me can debate the subject of current fitness levels of the adult population by comparison to 47 odd years ago (there’s certainly plenty wearing Spurs shirts these days at games who wouldn’t be if the sizes stopped at large). Or, if ‘larger’ adults from back then had their mental health impacted as a result of being excluded from shirt sales — could be a class action in the making.
What I do know, is that if the sizing stopped at large these days, Daniel would be waking up in a cold sweat each night at the merchandising sales going begging.
