Player Richarlison

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I've never called him names.

But in his instance by minute ratios is absolute and massive stretch and you know that fully well.
Availability is big part of ability. Without that player is 100% useless.

I agree that last season he showed much more about his ability, but that does not change fact that he is 60 million euros marquee signing that has had two seasons, both can be described with one word - "shit".

I already know what you are going to say now... about his last season and all. Yes- from rounds 16-23 he was very good. But that is run of 8 games (!). That is 1/5 of the season. Reminder of it... oh well. ST that scored 1 goal with first 15 rounds in EPL and then 1 more with last 15 games. This can be summed up as "shit".

Being injured doesn’t make him “shit”. His production when he did play was quite good.

Also, what’s with all of you big beer belly dudes calling top level football players shit?

I find it absurd that any loser can call any PL level player “shit”,

Wankers.

Availability is part of ability, as simple as that.

Regarding latter part - oh, big boy and high horse coming to fight for justice ah.
Good. Let's shut down the forum then. I see that if you are not better footballer than those you comment upon, you cannot have an opinion.
BTW, then neither should you and then we cannot praise any players either, cause we don't know better than them. So yea, shut it all down NOW :D .

Bet most on here can't swim but float.

He's an enigma. That run of 6 or 7 games in winter gave some hope, but apart from that stretch he's had 3 goals in the league over 2 seasons.

You can't usually blame a player for being injured, but over the long term you are what the results say you are. He's a streaky player who's also been prone to injury, and when you add those things up it means you can't rely on him and you need someone else.

everythjng he does on the pitch is erratic and unreliable - at times, the work rate is immense but his movement, touch, and decision making is just so fucking unpredictable. Captain chaos

3 goals outside of that hotstreak is wild

Looks like he's staying. I hope he can turn his fully fit purple patch into most of this season.

Richarlison to stay at Tottenham amid Saudi transfer links

Tottenham forward Richarlison has told ESPN Brasil he intends to stay at the Premier League club despite receiving an offer to play in Saudi Arabia.

It has been reported that Al Hilal were interested in the Brazil striker, and while he has confirmed to ESPN Brasil that he had an offer to play in the Saudi Pro League, Richarlison said he wants to stay in London.

"There has been an offer but my dream of playing for the Brazilian Seleção and in the Premier League speaks louder," Richarlison said.

"The money is big but my dreams are bigger."

Richarlison joined Spurs in 2022 from Everton and has scored 12 goals in 55 appearances.

The 27-year-old told ESPN Brasil that he has already made his decision and feels moving to Saudi could impact his chances of playing for Brazil at the World Cup in 2026.

Tottenham begin their Premier League season against newly promoted Leicester City on Aug. 19.

I’d love for him to be able to perform at a high level for us over the course of the season but it won’t happen and we’ll be still trying to get rid of him in January. If he does score goals at all this season they will come from coming on as a sub.

I actually liked some of Richarlison on the wing. Don’t see why he has to only play striker for us. Richy-Solanke-Kulusevski is a viable front 3 when Son is out of form or injured.

So it’s not all doom and gloom for him even if we do buy Solanke, he can play multiple positions.

Goals from the bench doesn't sound like a bad thing. Besides; how many of his goals season weren't from starts?

If he stays fit; he'll be useful.

As an impact sub then fair enough. I also think that’s what Sonny and Johnson should be because we need more from that lot when they start. I believe they are our biggest issues and they are not fixed one bit yet.
I do think we will get a centre forward and wide player before the window shuts. I also don’t believe it’s Solanke,Eze,Neto or Toney till they actually walk through the door. Nobody knows if it’s even any of those players apart from people inside the club.
I don’t think Gallagher was ever an option but there is probably about 250 pages on him!

Gun to my head, I'd probably take the money for Richarlison and run.

Then again, a lot of us critique players for being money-hungry and taking the obscene paycheques offered in places like Saudi and China (especially Brazilian players in the past doing so with big, poor families in mind); Richarlison bucking that trend and wanting to stay should be commended.

Perhaps it's also not the worst summer for him to dig his heels in - the striker market is a bit crap, and I doubt we'd end up spending the money particularly effectively. As long as we bring in someone like Solanke on top of what we already have, I won't complain too much about that particular position.
