Player Richarlison

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

His goals per shot is in the 76 percentile which is actually better than Haaland (not that he's a better goalscorer than him obviously but it puts it in perspective).

He's also makes up for that by being able to get a lot of shots off, which is also on par with Haaland.
There are statistics and there are damned lies. I prefer the lies - they're more honest.

Richarlison was bought to score goals. He has failed. Get rid.

Oh look - Richarlison has got some new 'I can't stop scoring goals' boots on today. I wonder if they'll be any better than his last pair of 'I'm going to score loads of goals' boots.

Probably not.

This guy has had a massive chance to step up and fill Kane's boots - and he's flunked it. Get rid, while he's still got a bit of street cred.

His record at Everton was good considering the level they were at. Last season he over performed his xG.

Bringing up his first season with us is pointless, he barely got any minutes and had an xG of like 3.

He was in the 90 percentile for goals scored last season when he was playing.

That's more than decent. He's not a great overall footballer but he's a good goalscorer.

He played 900 odd minutes to score one goal ffs.

He had one productive patch of form of us. One. He’s a hugely inconsistent goalscorer. He’s the absolute definition of stats lying last season because of an incredible period of form and a good minute to goal ratio.

Solanke last season scored 6 more than Richarlison ever managed in a league season, and Solanke is hardly Haaland.

His xG was like 3 in those 900 minutes. He didn't get a decent run of games and wasn't getting service either.

Solanke played twice as many minutes as Richarlison last season. and he actually under performed his xG, unlike Richarlison who overperformed. That's a better example of stats lying.

But luckily for you, he'll barely get minutes this season and will be gone next summer. Solanke holds the ball up better than him and should get 15-20 league goals this season.

Good goalscorers make their own service. Same system Kane played in.

No it isn’t lol. Being a good goalscorer isn’t just about being over or under xG. Solanke scored more because he can be a menace.

15-20 league goals because he’s not a Richarlatan like our Brazilian CF.

Rich scored 11 goals last season. I expect about the same this season.
Only Sonny scored more.
A few ice dancing fans are not impressed by goals scored.
Me-I like players who score goals.

How many games did he even play as a CF in his first season? I'm pretty sure most of the time he played on the wing.

Last season he was averaging 4 shots per game which was more than Solanke and had more goals per shot on target than him as well.

There is more to it than xG, but Solanke played more than twice the amount of minutes as Richarlison which is why he scored more goals.

Richarlison would've easily gotten 15-20 goals last season if he was fit.

lol Richarlison hit 20 league goals

😆 🤭 😆

He’d have done his usual and gone missing for large stretches. He had his little period where he was competent.

Why are people saying get rid of Richarlison like it's a game of Football Manager? There were numerous reports that we were looking to sell him and then he suddenly feels inclined to publicly state that he's going nowhere. That's a pretty clear indication that we won't be getting rid of him this window.

He can get on the end of crosses, cutbacks and make runs in behind.

If he was fit throughout the season he would've gotten the amount of service he needed to get close to 20 goals. His conversion rate is good enough to get that many.

He’s never done it in his entire career and he never will unless he does go Saudi and even then I’d back Mitrovic to outbag him

Because he was playing for Watford and Everton and barely got any minutes as a striker in his first season with us. We create a lot more for him because we're a better team which results in more goals.

Richarlison was 4th in the PL last season in non penalty goals per 90*, behind Jota, Haaland and Wood, and ahead of Trossard, Wilson, Isak, Adebayo, Elise, Foden, Watkins and Mateta. Availability was an issue but don't pretend he didn't deliver when he was fit.

*excluding players with less than 500 minutes played

He delivered while in his purple patch. Between said patch he delivered lots of shit performances. Even when fit.

He had one incredible run of form where he was bagging more than a goal a game and everything he hit went in. No reason whatsoever for me to think he keeps that up throughout a season.

He was playing on the left for a lot of that and was playing through an injury, which is why he needed to get surgery.

Scoring 15-20 league goals doesn't even require him to be as good as he was during that run. If he's fully fit, he can score less than a goal a game to reach that.

At Everton he was scoring about 10 league goals a season and he was playing around 30 games a season. We can easily create twice the amount of chances for him.

This isn’t how things work or we could expect Solanke to get close to 40 league goals. He was the main man at Everton. He was behind xG more often than not there.

He had a good spell last season which masks his overall stats since moving to Spurs. I’m not buying it. Feel free to. Id be surprised if he hits double figures this season.

Bournemouth created more for Solanke than Everton ever did for Richarlison. Solanke's xG last season was 21. Richarlison was getting an xG of 10 on average at Everton. They both had the same xG per 90 last season as well.

Richarlison was only behind on xG for one season at Everton in 20/21.
