I'd be suprised if we could get anything above 30m for him; some thing I think it no less likely to get from an EPL team (the OG 60m only ever came to pass cos it was between two EPL clubs.... The only clubs in Europe that can afford 60m player shop from the top shelf)...... Said in the summer; I could see him getting a move to somewhere like CP or Fulham if things didn't pan out here (esp. the latter considering their Mitro sale).

He'll likely still prove useful over the remainder or the season if he stays fit (dreadful timing that he now makes it 3 LWers we have on the sick-list); but if a bid comes in and we have a successor in the pipeline I think it would be wise to act.

MALCOM for 60 mil (!!) YES, that Malcom. 2 caps for Brazil, same age as Richie brought from Russian league.
OTAVIO for 60 mil (!!) - I don't know who is is and 90% here have not heard about him either, I bet.
May I note, that all those 3 are ... Brazilian attacking players?
While Neymar is a brand, they also paid 120 mil combined for two nothing-players.

But let's keep going.
Mitrovic for 53 mil - in no way is Mitrovic more of a high-profile player than Richie
Fabinho for 47 mil - DM that is 29... not as gross overpayment but still, no one in Europe would have taken him for that
Mane for 30 mil - year earlier left for same money from Liverpool due to short contract. got year older, flopped badly in Bayern and had long contact (which usually means higher value)
Jota for 29 mil - lad has highest market value in his career of 13 mil (!)

So this quick Google-job resulted in ... 6 players grossly overpaid for, even if we leave out Neymar where there could be some debate due to his "brand".
Two of them are totally unknown Brazilian forwards that have nothing to show for compared to Richie.
Three are Brazilians.

So... yes... the are paying excessive fees.
 
It is hard to say what kind of price would be enough to move Richie to Saudie league...

Anything above 45 mil should be 100% nobrainer.
In region 35-45 it is still a very good deal.
35-28 is still acceptable.

Under 28 it depends who we could get in as a replacement.

14 league goals in 24 league games last season.
43 in 44 Championship games the season before.

I'd say he was probably worth it tbh. I always suspected his prior PL seasons were unfair as he was always in such weak teams that went straight back down, but Fulham were decent last season.
 
Would he even want to go to the Saudi league?

He seems very determined to prove himself, I can’t see him wanting to leave Europe.

True, but that would be less "extreme" than 40m quid for Richie given his stats over the last 18 months....... He's been injured for a large bulk of that time too.

The main thing that would work in our favour is the whole "Brazil's #9" tag...... That shit would hold more weight out there than anywhere else.

Why do people keep banging on about Richy being ‘Brazils number 9’. This is a very average Brazil team, the worst in my lifetime. The days of Brazil teams being full of world class players are long gone
