From Ali Gold's post match write up, how many times have we said that this season :ange-facepalm:

As a center forward, you absolutely need to be able to act as a target man or as a threat in behind. The threat in behind keeps defenders from playing too tight, which allows for better hold up play. And if they try to cut off the target balls, the defense gets punished in behind.

Richarlison can do neither.

He’s terrible. I don’t care about his goal per game tally. I didn’t care when it was Brennan and I don’t care when it’s this lumbering oaf.

An active hindrance to every bit of play which isn’t a final touch of ball in to net. Can’t control a ball, can’t pass a ball, can’t hold it up, has no first touch, takes a few touches to get it out his feet, isn’t a threat back to his or playing in behind.

All he can do is score free headers, tap ins, and he has a worldie in him every now and then or a really nice finish. You can’t consistently play good football with players like this as they can’t be relied to so the basics 90% of the time which is sort of the bare minimum for consistency
We'd be better right now with. Tammy Abraham, Alexander Mitrovic, Ivan Toney, Danny Welbeck, any number of utter journey men.

Just noticed Simon’s reaction when Richarilson failed to control the ball. It’s not just us supporters who have had enough, but it must be incredibly frustrating for the other players.

Hahahah, someone could make a compilation of all of those moments just in this one game?

Cause while it is absolutely and undenayably tragic, there could be some dark humor in that maybe. Kind of tragic-comedy :D

Same number of goals as Woltemade. One less than Ekitike and Semenyo.

And he's barely getting minutes. We're playing negative football, yet Richy keeps delivering. Way above his xG (see that Woolwich goal).

Fans love to hate, but he's having a decent season. Imagine if he played like our Captain - they'd be calling for his head. Respect where it's due.

Play him as LW with RKM up top- it's given us our best results this season.
4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 w/no Benta-Palh pivot and we can be an effective team, with Richy having an effective place in it.

Obviously it's not the optimal situation, but needs must while we try and survive this season.
