Player Richarlison

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This guy makes me not want to travel 850 mile round trip to games mate. I have a right to have an opinion on him just the same as you do.
Everyone is entitled to my opinion ) But it's not just my opinion is it - it's TFs opinion too amongst many others. I just say what I see and relay the facts + stats. When he is fit and plays in his correct position he makes decent contributions. But agree he will never be the same level as Berbatov and Kane. How many of these types of players are there around?

There are very few now and that sums up the quality of the game nowadays. I’m miss the deft touches of strikers and the playing in the same line as another striker or an advanced midfielder where they can link together. Guys like Berbatov made me travel the length and breadth of the country to see. I’m not a stat guy because I look for the quality and how well a striker can take the ball in,how he receives it,how he brings others into the game, tidiness in his game and obviously finishing. Stats hide that stuff mate. It’s not for me because when I watch Richy he doesn’t do that stuff. Yes he’ll pop up with goals and some crackers at that but I’d expect that from a Brazilian internationalist that plays for Tottenham.

He is pretty good at bringing others into the game. He is also disruptive and a pest which can be useful and cause chaos in defences. But I agree mate the stats do hide the other important stuff you mention - like his first touch and tidiness, etc.

The thing is you can go spend £70 million on someone like Gyokeres or Sesko and look what that gets. I just think the standard of strikers is at an all time low just now. Kane is the only complete one that guarantees you goals.

The idea of getting rid of Richi is absurd. Considering the lack of striking talent all over. We won't find better at the minute until certain young strikers start fulfilling their potential.

In a perfect world, Richi would be a bench option striker, and a useful one at that.

He's on for a 20 goal season across all comps in a very uncreative side without Maddison or Kulu.

Until we solve our creativity issue, a new striker solves nothing.

We need to find service first.

Richi is an odd one.

The least Brazilian striker Ive ever seen.

He's almost a throw back to a classic 90's EPL player.

I suspect thats why he is the only one who looks good under Frank, the balls into the box, the corners, the battling CBs for scraps - it really suits him.

In a more possession oriented team, in a more fluid/attacking side - I think Richarlison is quickly out of his depth and basically a bench option to mix things up if we need a disruptor.

Strange player, I dont think he is particularly good (poor touch/technique etc) - but he is effective

Another reason it would be madness to sell him.

Need to move him on, hes a maverick will give him that.

Scores ridiculous one touch goals but then has one of the worst first touches in football.

Erratic and poor ball mastery.

If we want to be a good footballing side we need good footballers not 18 yard scrappers.

Along with those 3 magnificent ex-spurs strikers Berbatov, Kane and Klinsmann - We've also had Defoe, Linekar, Clive Allen, Super Pav, Sherringham and Archibald - all of them > Richarlison.
King Clive was my hero striker along with Van Basten growing up. Was chatting to him earlier in the season at the ground and told him that!! Scored every type of goal. Pure class and he should’ve got more England caps.
