Not one player gets any fucking recognition if we stay up. It’s embarrassing they’ve got us in this position. I’ve got a feeling I might be rolling about with a few if they are up lapping it up celebrating staying up😂They’ll get a clap and that’s it from me.
Legend is not a word that should ever be thrown about regarding anyone at this club just now.

He's 1 goal off scoring double-digit figures this season in the league.

That'll be near enough 25% of all of our team goals combined, as it stands. Including 2 or 3 worldies.

He's nothing to do with why we are where we are. He's putting in strong numbers for a team that is about as creative as a beige hallway

He has definitely got something to do with where we are. He’s not exempt because he’s scored 9 goals. He has spent most of his games trudging about in the huff and couldn’t hold up a bank with a bazooka. He is bang average and will be gone in the summer. No player gets the “nothing to do with me” card. They are all to blame. If Richy was a good finisher he’d be nearer 20 even though he’s playing in a shit team. I’m not having him now and I tried to to like him. His attitude when he came on against Leeds at elland road was the end for me. He can do one with 95% of them in the summer

He's exceeding his XGA by 2 goals, which says that he is actually a very good finisher (by ~26%), not sure how he'd get 20. And trudging about is just made up. He's the only one who actually works and contributes goals. He can't just score goals out of nowhere. We get under 1xg most games, expecting any of our players to score 20 is just ridiculous.

He's not good enough, like many, but up top, he's by far the best of the terrible bunch and has been in this situation before and excelled. We have to lean into that of we have any hope of staying up. This just reads like sour grapes because you don't like him, to be honest.

Just going by what we saw.. it is clear Solanke is the most talented striker we got. However, he is just not finding his stride or the managers are just misusing him.

No, players like Kolo Muani have everything to do with where we are. Having one average to good performance every 12 games, whilst being a regular starter

2 up top gives us the option to go long. So much better than playing out when we are so bad at that. Stick with the Richi/Solanke partnership. Next step, find someone who can cross a ball accurately. Could be the new Brazilian lad.
If Udogie is back and fit for Forest I would not be completely opposed to trying Porro at right midfield. Just let him spam crosses.

It does make you wonder how different things may have been in he hadn't been plagued by niggling injuries since he arrived.
Because every time he has remained fit for a period of time, he always contributes with goals, assists and effort.

Exactly - don't understand why his detractors don't take this into account.
Is he the the best striker in the league? No
Has he been good value for money? Probably not (partly due to the injury situation).
Have we always played him in his best position and/or set up the team to get the best out of him? Again, no, which also applies to a number of the squad.
Does he actually show some spirit and fight? Yes he does.
All I know is a fit and effective Richie can be the catalyst to getting this team performing and getting some points, so we can avoid the dreaded drop,

he is a very limited footballer, but what he is good at, he is good at. hes perfect for a side like us right now, we have a serious lack of quality footballers so the game needs to be very simple and he needs to be in the box with numbers near him, that is his game. if we do that and he stays fit hell score another 4/5 goals and well stay up.

He's as weird one cos he's often pretty infuriating to watch - poor touch, inconsistent link-up - but the numbers are undeniable. His actual goal-per-minute output since he's been at the club is borderline elite.

And while RKM and Solanke are better technical footballers, it's Rich who is always getting on the the end of things and actually consistently getting shots off, winning headers in the box etc. For our current situation he's by far the most important of the 3 and our survival may well dependent on him staying fit.

Yet I think there's a reason people are so frustrated by him and I wouldn't be excited at the prospect of him leading the line for us next season even if fit. He's just such an inconsistent, chaotic footballer it feels like he's a force unto his own rather than someone you want to rely on or build around.

He needs to be coached to never try anything with the ball at his feet in midfield and just make the easy pass. Hes on the pitch to be active in the box, be physical and win duels.

Hes a much better player when he doesn’t have the ball than when he does.

I’ve gave him every chance and there’s a bit of truth in what you say that I don’t like him. He’s just not what I want in a centre forward. He's far too untidy for me and nothing is ever clean with him. Even his goal on Sunday was not clean and kind of a scuff but what I will give him credit for is he’s there to do it. What’s not made up is him moping about and barely getting out of a jog at Elland Road because he got left out. His attitude when he came on was a disgrace. I also don’t think he’s better than Solanke. The thing with Richy is he’ll turn up like he did on Sunday for spells in the game then the next one he’s an abomination. He’s not for me. As I said before the quicker we get the average players out in the summer the quicker we will improve. Keep those types of players and we will continue to be a bottom half club no matter who the manager is. Fire sale in the summer is a must.
