I love this. De Zerbi "Now I will be very very strong, because we need to build a new Tottenham" when talking about Lange and Vinai

And then blamed the quality of the squad when De Zerbi has proved even the Bentancur/Palhinha partnership can play decent stuff and not sarcrifice the midfield.

It really is odd. Never seen a manager's failure be defended by the media so much. Normally they love ripping them to shreds. Like compare how they talked about Rosenior, who wasn't really any worse as a manager. It's night and day.
Reminds me didn't Tudor say he has his opinion about why the constant injuries at Tottenham, and that he'd share after the season
Id very much like to hear them![]()
Spot on.Also, another thing that talks FOR him - strong bonds are developed in experiencing strong emotions and coming through difficult situations.
And my gosh has that been a difficult year so far. So I am pretty sure that players and fans alike can relate to RDZ now and also in the future.
So - just PLEASE stop fucking around and give this guy the players he needs!
I agree. RDZ is perfect for what we need, and if the board don't realise that and bring in quality players, it will end it tears like is has with all previous managers. It's now up to the owners and the board to back him. Man Utd turned it around in one season - we can have that here, also, but it starts with a great transfer window.De Zerbi feels right. He plays the attractive ball we want (Jol, Redknapp, Poch + Ange style) but has the attitude and fight of a Conte (our only manager who really put it up to the board and demanded signings).
Hopefully he is backed and can give his best version of himself at spurs. Its up to him then if he can be a success. Frank was backed and was a disaster. We didn't back any of the good managers we had before Frank. I feel like if RDZ is not backed, he will call out the board and could potentially walk. He'll be as firey as Conte was. Lets see how this plays out.
But it feels like a zero sum game. Either RDZ is fully backed and brings up right back up to the top of the league over the next 3 seasons and has us challenging against the best. Or it all goes pear-shaped and he walks early or the club sack him because they don't like the regular home truths! I don't see the in between.
RDZ's start has such similarities to Conte's early games. Regularly getting the crowd up and demanding that Spurs try to compete against the very best. Hopefully things change and we as a club are actually ready to take those steps!
I can’t help but feel Poch vibes with this man. The fact that we’ve stared down the barrel of a gun together so early on is really gonna forge something special in my eyes. Give him what he wants and I think we can be a force again.
