Management Roberto De Zerbi

And funnily enough those players will look like world beaters away from Tottenham.

The issue is the club, not the players.
The issue is both.

Obviously the club has been run horrendously but I think this season has shown up most of our 'world beaters'.

They've shown that when they hit a tough spot, they crumble. We'll get buyers for who we want to sell but if those players think the top, top clubs will be interested after seeing how they cope when things aren't going right on the pitch, then they have a shock coming.

They can rectify that by fighting their way to survival but they're just continuing to crumble.

Whatever happens, I hope De Zerbi has a good level of involvement on players who are both sold and recruited.

Much as I don't think you just allow managers to tell you who the club must get I do hope recommendations and reasoning are fully considered.

There's definately a middle ground between us and the top top clubs at the moment, just like whilst people say these players are crap and not good enough they are definitely better than being in a relegation fight.

Probably what swayed him to come, they have failed over and over, too many non footballing people making important decisions on players. DOF only works when you have one that actually knows what he's doing, it's a disaster otherwise.

Agreed.

There are no workdbeaters in this squad of players. Not a chance, and by that I don't mean World Cup winners but players who are consistently on the top tier.

If we have any players who are destined to hit the heights then it will be from the younger group of players.

2 or 3 of our players might go on to show a fair bit more than they have with us, but it will mean nothing.

That league requires the knowledge of someone whos been in and around it before.

They can play better than they have been and clubs will fancy them to improve in a well run system.

However, I would always have reservations about these players now. They have proved they cannot be relied upon when things get tough and that could be a deal breaker for a lot of clubs.

If they want big moves in the summer, they need to keep us up.

Yeah the players we'd want to keep would be the youngsters.

If we can convince Gray, Vuskovic, Bergvall, Moore, etc to stay that'll be a start next season.

Surround them with signings RDZ wants, players with experience and hopefully a better mentality, and we might start to have a team to be proud of again.

Our two starting CB's will get good moves despite being all sorts of aids this season.

No chance Vuscovic stays if we go down. Hell, he may not stay if we go up. I think Bayern may pay like 70m for him.

Romero will. He has a WC to his CV and long time admirers. Plus he's missed half the season!

VDV I'm not so sure about. He's been one of the ones who this season reflects on worst in my opinion. You're prob right that someone big will take the gamble but it's not going to be the bidding war it might have once been.

It's not even about convincing them. They are under contract and all we would need to say is it should be one season.

Going down doesn't makeus a small club. Not doing everything and enough to come bsck straightaway might legitimately call that into question.

Yeah but you will have to convince them a bit.

They may be under contract but we'll need players happy to be here if we wanna get straight back up.
