Management Roberto De Zerbi

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He doesn't have the luxury of not being judged after a few games, because it's exactly what he was brought in to do. Was much better today, but letting things be so open at the end was inexcusable.

That is how he plays. He said post match we will play attacking football and try to score goals and that is how we will win games. Not parking 11 men behind the ball and counter attacking.

Of course there should be some balance to it but that will take time.

Sounds familiar. :ange-arms:

And I'm here for it. De Zerbi may have come too late to save us from the pragmatists but he's the best possible manager we could have right now.

He needs to play one of either Bentancur or Palhinha at the back with VDV, the two backups are serious weak links and will cost us just like today. Tems will let them be the option for us as they know that's when the cracks will happen.

"We must make sure their worst players get the ball the most. You'll get it back in no time." Johan Cruyff

Danso and Dragusin look so uncomfortable on the ball for a reason, way out of their depth. Putting a CM in their till end of the season will make us a stronger side. Unfortunately they are that bad!

Yeah you can play attacking football, but a very fair criticism of Ange was that he wasn't flexible and refused to switch things up. When we haven't won a game in 4 months, and there's a couple of minutes on the clock, you sit back and be hard to beat and try hold on. That's 2 unbelievably massive points dropped and he has to take a lot of the blame for that. There's a time and a place to be aggressive, that was not the time, nor the place.

I'm conflicted.

On the hand, I give him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't brought in 8 week earlier.

On the other hand, we're in a relegation fight, that's the context he finds him in, and de Zerbi is another version of " Its just who we are mate as long as I'm here, this is how we play"

Pfft. If Danso puts his boot through the ball, we prob win.

When will people realise we're no good at sitting back soaking up pressure. We never have been. It fails more time than it works.

We sit back and concede, everyone is up in arms that we sat back.

The more I think about it, the more positive I get about today's performance. We should have beaten in form, 5 out of 6, properly run Brighton and there's still loads to improve on.

Bring on Wolves! Let's fuck them up!

Definitely, not probably.

I think he has that luxury TBH. Not from the fans but from the club. I think he's been told that he won't be sacked if we go down (that's if he actually stays if we do). I don't think the club wants to be look at another manager search in a few weeks time.

That's true as well, but if the instructions were to keep it tight and take no risks, that doesn't happen.

We sat back because we can't play through midfield and invited pressure, while also keeping a high line. I'm talking about a park the bus, blanket defence. And for 10 mins in a game, which likely is the difference between 1 and 3 points, when survival is on the line, it's the obvious thing to do.

I'll be positive when we start to win, but for now, that's another game gone and more points dropped, and we're quickly running out of games.

Danso made a terrible mistake otherwise we win. It wasn’t the system or the tactics. Also he’s only just come in, second game and the squad are on the floor.

Ange failed because he was tactically clueless. His philosophy was all out attack but he didn’t have the nous to find different solutions for different opponents and to tweak it when it wasn’t working.

RDZ has an attacking philosophy but he has the tactical ability to go with it.

We’ve also seen many times what happens when this squad sit back and try to defend leads. We lose

If they're happy with him getting relegated, they wouldn't have sacked Tudor. He'd have still been there in the summer for that obscene amount of money.

He's obviously not getting sacked of we go down. That was never up for debate. But all this, he can't be judged now stuff is nonsense when we need instant results.

I can't watch us sit back. A goal is inevitable even if we stuck the whole 11 on the goal line.

I want the ball as far away from our goal as possible. I get annoyed with Bergvall losing it on the right wing. I was shouting at Solanke to keep it in the corner as long as possible. Manage the game better in their half.

Today's team selection, subs and performance suggest to me that he's trying hard. If he has the ear of Lady Luck, he might just save us.

The equalisers were hard to take but that was a team today that will win the next two. If they play the same way. I dont really give a fuck what league tbh if I'm watching Tottenham but whatever league it is this manager will be good for us.

That's a whataboutism. We did try to keep playing and we lost points. That's a fact.
