Roberto Soldado

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Cut the rhetorics out it is ridiculous. Soldado made clear cut chances for himself, four goals, three assists, and countless key passes. Begovic got strong wind and a sleepy opposition gk.

This is as meaning less as the fact WBA scored and conceded the exact same amount of goals as we did this season and they're a point above the drop zone.

I do apologise for the negativity but It has to be said.

Might of already been posted but anyway, after 18 Games of premier league football. 1620 minutes of premier league action. ROBERTO SOLDADO Has the same amount of goals from open play as ASMIR BEGOVIC. Stoke citys goalkeeper.. I dunno weather to cry or laugh

:eriksenlol:...:gomes:

This is fucking crazy

I actually think he's improved. His movement is better and he seems to be trying harder now. But going that many games without goals must be extremely demoralising for a striker. I think he's Fernando Torres joining Chelsea all over again. Do we wait or do we get another in come January?

I agree the only thing i add to that is his age and what we paid for him.So in january sell him get what we can for him and try and get a shit hot young Striker at the club because Defoe is off and Ade blows hot and cold.

But who is the shit hot striker? It's much harder to buy in January and striker prices are inflated at the best if times.

Personally what I think we need is a shit hot manager who can really get the players motivated and get the goods out of them. A manager who can build a winning team out of relatively average players like, and it pains me to say it, Wenger. Neither AVB nor Sherwood seem to have much of a clue how to get the best out of the squad. I put the latter's inability down to his laughable lack of experience so hopefully he will learn and improve, but I don't see that happening nearly quick enough to save the season or to get the players up and running.

Judging any of our new players whilst the club is in a constant state of transitional turmoil is stupid and makes those who choose to do so look thick as fuck. Soldado is proven quality in his prime we just have no system or any type of style worth a fuck for him to partake in. THFC is run like a 3 ring circus and thus the players especially the new ones are suffering the consequences. Then you have the fans(lemmings) whose expectations are vastly unrealistic and thus create an atmosphere of negative cuntery and twatishness. Ah well there's always next season, again......

:levylol:

He was as poor ar many today, but he did a lot of hard work trying to create space while others where all to happy to stand around and wait for shit to happen.

Oh and he clearly gives a shit about this whole mess and gets right worked up things are not going our way, as opposed to the other lot having a little wink, a smile, perhaps flapping an arm when they have slipped mark for umpteenth time and we just conceded.

Soldado is a class player who as @ NorseYid NorseYid said, really seems to give a shit. He might have looked isolated and moved poorly in the lone striker role, but that's his instructions not working - he's a seasoned professional - given the right set up around him, he will score plenty of goals for us no doubt.

Soldado has been a 1 goal every 2 matches man ever since his career started with Real Madrid Castilla in 2002. To assume that he's not good enough because of half a season played in a system that completely ignores his strengths is just... wrong.

The issue (and it's a biggie) is whether Soldado's best system is also best for the rest of the team.

I have feared this exact thought for a long time, haven't dared to utter the words. Now you've gone and driven me mad in paranoia.

last few games, he has had a few decent chances but hasn't been able to convert, I'm just hoping that once he gets his first, it will open the floodgates
