Supporters Rudiger claims he heard monkey chants

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Rudiger says racism won... That's a stupid remark.

It isn't about winning or losing.

It's about whether there is evidence that a crime has been committed and in this case there isn't any.

You always get these so-called Tottenham fans like MVP who come out the woodwork to pretend how much they care and slag off the club and support the racists like Rudiger who made up the chants because he was high on drugs and acted up the whole match. Apparently he's done this before in Italy.
Where have I slagged off the club? what drugs?

He's right. Racism won.

2-1 as I recall.

Very well done

If, there was a shred of evidence that someone had even remotely acted in a racist manner, the club and the police would have gone full throttle to throw the book at that someone to a) have the matter closed ASAP and show action taken, and, 2) to show neither club nor police are in anyway institutionally racist, and that they absolutely, in no way, condone such matters. That person would have been in the shiiiit.

The fact that hasn’t happened is a striking blow to Rudiger’s claims. This whole situation will have taken up considerable time and money, hopefully it was all for a justified cause. It’s a shame the club/police can’t press the situation any further to establish if rugier has fabricated the story. I’d imagine there’s a few private thoughts on that. However, it really is best to move on, and get the club out the limelight for these reasons. Can’t be beneficial.

Spurs are doing everything right - but at the same time making it known that zero evidence exists.

"The club should like to reiterate that we fully support the action that Antonio Rudiger took in this situation and we would encourage any player to do the same if they too are faced with this scenario in the future," said a club spokesman.

"An exhaustive investigation was undertaken with the Metropolitan Police at the time following the player's allegation and we remain open to revisiting this should any new information come to light."

Which is the best way to handle it.

Leaves it in no doubt that there isn't any actual evidence to back up Rudiger's claims but supports him for claiming it - which is right.

This racism won accusation is yet more trial by media on the back of a black Chelsea player having misconstrued what he had heard on the day. Having exaggerated the pain he was in after Son’s challenge and sending off, Rudiger was booed every time he touched the ball and there were also a few chants of YIDS! YIDS! YIDS! Soon after the incident and sending off.

He didn’t hear monkey noises. I’ve known monkey noises at football but I’ve not heard it at Spurs since the years before Garth Crooks signed. It pained me that some idiots - usually shouted down- would make monkey noises even though Chris Hughton was in the side; but I noticed very definitely that with the arrival of Crooks I never heard that nonsense again - right up to today!

If this guy knew the historical baggage of the support of his own team he would realise how stupid he looks. He should try hooking up with Chelsea’s first ever black player Paul Canovile for afternoon tea- me might learn something!

You say that they are right but do you and other supporters fully support the action that Rudiger took in that situation and do you and other supporters encourage any player to do the same?

I think most people have been very clear that he had every right to notify his captain, or the referee, but that his monkey impression was bang out of order, in fact the only 'racial' act so far proven was his attention grabbing dance. His subsequent wild accusations despite no evidence whatsoever are a disgrace and make him a complete tool in my book. The UK law says innocent until proven guilty it also says slander and libel are crimes. Whilst Rudiger has been very careful not to slander the club, or any individual, he has repeatedly slandered the Spurs fan-base.

If he'd followed procedure, not done his monkey dance, reported what he thought he heard correctly, then I'd fully support hlm .... but he didn't so any shit he gets he brought on himself.

Personally I think he believed he heard monkey chants but that he was just wrong, if you look back through the thread you will see that was my position, now that he keeps making his entirely unsupported accusations - he's a complete cunt.

I would encourage any player who gets any discriminatory abuse to report it to his captain or the officials, I would also make monkey dances a red card offence with a ten game ban.

Id encourage all players of colour or race or creed to call out actual racism if there was a rascist remark /act against them . in rudigers case its now more and more evident he was using the race card to deflect angst from his cheating actions off getting a fellow pro sent off causing a shitstorm against thfc and its support...
The mans a cunt and ive had enough of his deceit.

Remember this last season

My view too and all did is illustrate what he heard, it's not racial, how could it be? As far as slandering the fan base goes he hasn't slandered all fans he's just pointed the finger at those he believed were responsible. He followed the procedure, he told the ref and his captain.

He believes it was actual racism and the club back him in his allegations, are you saying the club has got it wrong?
