Supporters Rudiger claims he heard monkey chants

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yes! But those that want evidence will NEVER get to see the Clubs CCTV is what I’m saying. It goes straight to the Police, we, us, and media will never get to see any of it. Only if there is enough evidence to prosecute and therefore goes to court will it be made available.
The club will release a statement and ban whoever did it. That's how we'll know.

No (can't say I've noticed anyone put the onus on Rudiger to provide proof tho).... But suffice to say, the least that is required is to identify an alleged culprit, no?

If not this whole shitstorm (and thread) just circles and goes nowhere on the basis of one man's impression.
I’ve had arguments with posters who have demanded proof and gone on to attack/accuse the player.

There are numerous posts on here calling the player a cunt. He’s been attacked. He did everything that he is encouraged to do, there is a protocol designed to deal with it and he followed it. He should be applauded and other (all) players should be encouraged and supported when using it! END. No ifs, buts or maybes. END.

As for evidence: This is becomes available via investigation, eye whiteness and technology. If the TV and/or radio pictures and sound picked up anything then we would have already have seen and heard them by now, just like we saw in the Manchester derby. So,this leaves the Stadium tech and eye whiteness. We know the club are going through whatever they go through and that there has been at least one eye whiteness (or should that be ear witnesses??).

If you air anyone has an issue then it’s with the protocol. If that’s the case then what do you want players to do? If Danny Rose thinks he’s been racially abused would you denying him the right to report it as per the protocol? What else are you expecting?

Really don’t get how the “Rudiger made it up” option is off the table for so many?

In the heat of the game could he have fabricated it to gain an advantage/stoke up tensions? He already demonstrated some unedifying behaviour in getting Son sent off during the game.

To be clear, I do not expect this was the case, I think a misunderstanding is a lot more likely, and that it did actually happen is also a possibility. However I’m just trying to understand why him having made it up is an impossibility!?!

There is a difference between evidence and concrete proof. One spurs fan saying they heard it is not concrete proof and does not confirm it happened, it is simply a small bit of evidence, but evidence nonetheless.

Again no answer. How many is should report it to make it sit right? What’s the cut off point?
More. Than. 1. Single. Twitter. User.

I don't fekkin know how many... Depends on the quality of Intel obviously... But more than 1 ffs! How is this even an argument?

I'm out. Knock yourself out woke boy.. You're embaressing yourself and your 'cause', whatever the fuck that is

In this instance, reasonable proof would be a charge or conviction (as you've already conceded).

....I don't see that people are literally holding out for a 'juicy' bit of video evidence to be released by the club.

and gone on to attack/accuse the player.

As far as I can see, anyone you may be alluding to have lone gone from this debate tho.... Certainly not those few that you are continuing to argue with.

On the basis of events that led to Sonny getting sent off, no?

He’s been attacked.

Thta's not a fact. He's made allegations to that effect. Allegations that are currently being investigated.

He did everything that he is encouraged to do, there is a protocol designed to deal with it and he followed it. He should be applauded and other (all) players should be encouraged and supported when using it! END. No ifs, buts or maybes. END.

With respect, you're off on one at this point mate..... The last 3 para's really have nothing to do with the post I made and I've yet to see anyone claim that a player should not report what they feel was a racist attack.

I just don't see the need for the interim 'shame' that the remaining dregs of this debate revolve around.

(If you don't feel I have a fair point here then by all means carry on, but my point here is simple.... I don't see what tearing each other to bits over the 'what if' achieves here.)

Depending on how credible a testimony is deemed to be it may not even qualify as "evidence"

If we're being semantic.
