Andrew Tate's brother?

Spot on I was humiliated by what happened here last time . Was the nail in the Conte coffin for me. So it's a very low base. Ironically only Sarr came out it with any credit but it's going to be very hard game indeed. Let's show some fight and pride from first to last.

Both those games last season were strewn with individual errors that directly led to goals.

We actually gave a pretty good account for ourselves at home, leading to Ramsdale being MOTM, but it was too little too late.

I think the Gooners downfall might be that they underestimate us , dont get me wrong I understand we are a a young team and this is a process that will include bumps in the road however anyone would think they won the league last season and didn't bottle it in historic fashion!
These Cunts are just a pound shop version of a Plastic City team, if we keep it 0-0 or better for the first 15 or so minutes without a stupid fuck up then I reckon we got a good chance of winning.
bit harsh - they were only two wins behind winning last season and shat their pants with two losses in their last 5.
I'm not trying to praise them 🤮🤮 but you can't take away from them that they have become a dangerous unit - and Rice has made them more solid than when they had to rely on Xhaka as a DM

They did the biggest bottlejob in premier league history last season, and that's a fact you can take to the bank.

Last season Madders had more goal contributions per 90 minutes in the PL while playing for a team that got relegated. I’d take Madders over Ødegaard.

Maddison is better on set pieces and in the final third (generally).

Odegaard is silkier and better at linking play, he’s only just started added end product at all.

I think both players are at the correct teams and at a similar level. We want to attack constantly and be more direct, Woolwich are a bit more subtle and want to play more eye of the needle stuff.

It was the biggest choke of all time, they bottled it beyond belief !

OH REALLY?

The 1995–96 season saw Sir John Hall's millions allow Newcastle to invest heavily in players from across the world. With a total of some £16 million spent on the signings of Les Ferdinand, David Ginola, Warren Barton and Shaka Hislop before the start of the season, Kevin Keegan's team made a strong start. Colombian striker Faustino Asprilla and England midfielder David Batty were also attracted to the north-east in February 1996 for a combined total of around £11 million.

An explosive start to the season saw Newcastle storm to the top of the Premier League table. Newcastle led the league for virtually all of the season from August until mid-March, and by Christmas had established a 10-point lead over Manchester United. Though they lost 2–0 at Old Trafford on 27 December, they still managed to extend this lead to 12 points on 20 January 1996, putting them in prime position for the title with 15 matches remaining. However, Manchester United – bolstered by the return of Eric Cantona from suspension – then enjoyed a surge in form. Despite an emphatic 2–1 win at Middlesbrough largely inspired by debutant Faustino Asprilla, Newcastle lost five of their next eight.[1] Newcastle dropped vital points away to West Ham and Manchester City, whilst a 1–0 win for Alex Ferguson's team at St James' Park on 4 March ended Newcastle's 100% home record in the league and cut their lead to a single point, and further away defeats at Woolwich, Liverpool and Blackburn Rovers allowed Manchester United to overtake them and establish a lead that would ultimately prove decisive.

Ferguson's mind games added further heat to the title race and provoked an infamous rant from Keegan live on Sky Sports on 29 April 1996,[2] following his team's 1–0 win at Leeds United. A 1–1 draw at Nottingham Forest three days later left Newcastle needing to beat Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United needing to lose against Middlesbrough, if the title was to return to Tyneside for the first time since 1927. In the end, a 1–1 draw proved academic as Manchester United beat the Teessiders 3–0, thus winning by four points. Newcastle's second place finish was nonetheless their highest finish for 69 years.[3]

Too long didn't read.

Yes, really.

Biggest bottle job in premier league history.

Stop defending the scum or I'm afraid I'll have to foul vote you and announce you as the latest resident gooner.

I still shudder recalling the three very very vocal 'Spurs' fans on this forum who annointed them champions with months of the season to yet play. On top of which they with a straight face insisted Leggo man was a great 'young coach '

To be this wrong and so certain...Still can't take them seriously 😒

I'm taking Madders all day

You could likely do a similar graph and have Maddison well ahead of prime David Silva. There are certain profiles of players that go beyond G/A - we’ve had a few of them ourselves.

I rate Fernandes, but look where he is in that graph! He’s not better than Odegaard, just much more aggressive offensively. He’d suit an Ange team actually, Bruno…

Odegaard is their best player, probably. Their heartbeat. If we can get in to him and stop him dictating then that would be huge.

Fernandes has excellent delivery and passing so it makes sense he's high up.

For Madders to be there whilst offering what he does in build up it shows he's immense.

I'm not saying Odegaard is shit by any means, but he's not an elite match winner. Madders has the ability to play hero ball and take matters into his own hands. Odegaard isn't doing it at the same level, put him in that leicester side and he's not going to carry their attack.

Put Biss on a seek and destroy assignment.

He scored 15 last season and wasn’t a penalty taker like Maddison, nor is he as good at set pieces.

He’d have stood out the same way at Leicester imo. He’s the key player at a side who finished 2nd.

Fair play, I tend not to watch them. Regardless I can't remember the last time I was fascinated by so many individual battles all over the pitch.
