I don’t post on here much but regularly read everyone’s comments. I’ll definitely be renewing my season ticket if we get relegated as I like my seat and the people around me who I think will also renew.

Funnily enough I’d be more likely to chuck it all in if we stay up as I’m fast falling out of love with the Premier League

What would people expect to pay for a season ticket in the championship? 23 home matches at £30 is £690 is fair imo for the expensive sections??
Doubt they would do that though

What do you mean by this though? Anyone unwilling to part with a grand, or a grand and a half by the time incidentals like travel are factored in, for lower league football are the "chaff"?

It's an absurd amount of money to begin with, and doubly so in the Championship.
We can charge the away fans more though. Leeds were charging £45 last season. That’s probably what we might have to pay for away games.

I’m really curious what ST prices would be in the Championship. We are in South lower ( standing ) and currently pay circa £1075…. I don’t think the club could justify more than £30/35 a game if relegated so somewhere between £690 and £805?
If they go for £40 it would make it £920. A few cup games with it and discount for season after. They will need to come up with something. The premium seats will take a beating. Michelin chefs redundant?
Some decent offers for the under 25s might pay dividends in the future. A lot must have been priced out over previous years.
Any season ticket holders who regularly sell their tickets on the exchange might have a problem.

£920 is insane though. That's more than 99% of Premier League clubs ST prices, it's just insane charging that for Championship football, extra games or not

I looked at the prices of STs this year in the championship (thanks Gemini), Leicester were the highest...

Leicester City
Lowest Adult: £404
Highest Adult: £1,029
Mid point: £716.50

I don't really get why anyone would sign up for a season ticket for the championship? Even if you still want to go you will be able to go every week anyway, it's not like we will be sold out is it? Tickets will probably be on general sale every home game
Points for a start - reckon aways next season will be tougher to get with the novelty of new grounds. If we’re still there the season after who knows!

The first Ticketing Points table would be interesting. It should give a fairly clear indication of renewal rate and changes to the point spread.

It will make it simpler to spot trends because it will be the Covid season points that are removed. So zero.
As an aside I’m still mildly miffed they didn’t give points for that single game - especially after how bad it was and the team refusing to do a lap of the pitch.

To the question of why bother with the st, some people have already worded the answers better than I would. But id add theres something intangible about it which im aware is me being a complete mug to nostalgia, sentiment, and a misguided sense of belonging.

All utterly ridiculous and nebulous but it factors in.

Haven't had a season ticket since the late 80's but I doubt very much the Ground will sell out and unless I wanted to keep a certain seat would see little point renewing. The owners sadly think they have some of our fans over a barrel but are in for a Rude awakening if we go down!

Nailed it.

The idea of giving it up breaks my heart even though I know I'm getting mugged off

Sponsors. Would be very interesting to see the contract they have with the Club, such as HPE. Do they stipulate that any money or service/equipment they provide is only on the understanding we are in the Elite division. A lot of sponsors will not want to paying Premier League sponsor budgets, when we are not in that league.

Are AIA still our shirt sponsors next year.

I hope that means we finally get shot of Nike even if it's their decision. I hate most of their designs, the Yellow Away kit is great though

I think they will push it as much as they dare. £40 per game at London prices , might get away with that.
It’s the stupidly expensive seats that they will struggle with.
If we set off well and are top of the league playing good football, might even pick up new supporters.
They will have to give a few cup games for free or there will be nobody there.

Even while I am typing this I can feel that we are going to beat Brighton and we are off on a run!!!
