The time for a singing section was when the stadium was built. But no they stuck more expensive seats in the middle and gave them their own bar.
You will never get the old days back with so many season tickets being shared among relatives etc and spare seats snapped up by tourists. Different groups in the stand every game.
Plus…atmosphere back in the day was provided by young lads who could afford to go to games . Now it’s full of middle aged people or pensioners.

The away section should have been in the west/south corner IMO, not the north/east corner.
Rival supporters say at Spurs and West Ham game all exiting on to the south stand square after a game , not a good idea security wise.

Away support at Newcastle is up in the gods does it effect the atmosphere up there not really the home fans make the atmosphere.
If fans really want to be near away fans get a ticket in North stand lower Block 113 , there are no ST holders in that block it's exclusively for members.

I believe the away fans being moved from the south to the north stand was a police demand.
It definitely helped the atmosphere at the old stadium because the more hardcore fans home fans were next to the always hardcore away fans.
Now the away fans are by the "Family" section

Agree , I should think it was a police & safety requirement due to the layout of the south stand which is just not suitable to have any away fans in on segregation issues.
Not strictly accurate about being next to family section, there are three blocks 113, 112 and 111 between the away section and the family blocks of 109 and 110.
Away fans are nowhere near The Kop at Anfield and the Kop makes plenty of noise, it's up to the home fans to make a noise, a successful team helps.

I think our fans were egged on to be noisy nearer the away fans. I didn't get my season ticket until Wembley, so I used to sit anywhere I could at WHL. It was always significantly louder in the south stand and it was rowdier the closer you got to the away corner.
We're also very reactive. When the football is shit and there's nothing at stake, the life just gets sucked out of the stadium. Just seems a perfect storm at the moment turning it into a library.

And people who are sat in the areas of the south stand because thry are the cheapest tickets, not because they want to make lots of noise.

Just got back from seeing the grandchildren, kind of hope they tell us all to jog on when we all try and steer them towards Spurs . They are two gorgeous little girls who do not deserve the misery of Spurs fandom . We will all give it a shot but the effort from me will be 10% of the effort I put into my children .

This is the first season my boy has really been into the football. I keep apologising to him throughout the season.

He loved Son and now he is brutal in his criticism.

We never used to sit down in block 35. Whatever the stewards said.
These days do our fans always stand up next to the away fans? Fight the (steward) power!!

Also the opposite side of the north stand to the away fans is the family area which can’t help.

The reality is our south stand should make plenty of noise and it just doesn’t.

Wall of noise my arse!!

I’m in the West Upper , every European game I am surrounded by away fans . It is really annoying to put it mildly

More annoying for me they have taken my seat 🤣
Im in block 507 not had this before on any of the EL matches this season.
I'm looking at this a positive now ( have no choice I suppose) to sit somewhere else for a bit of a change.
Any ideas? Maybe I'll mix it with the hardcore fan in the south stand??
