England is crippled at the moment and there doesn't seem any way out, so the escapism of football is a huge, necessary distraction. There isn't much left for people to push back against so players, managers, the club are all fair game, whether we agree or disagree with the opinions raised in threads like these
 
If Tesco had the 7th highest wage bill of the grocery chains we would hardly expect their staff to be doing better than the one paying the most?
Same in football. Until enic pays top dollar we won’t get top players.

The truth about Spurs under ENIC is regarding how we behave when a club prepared to pay higher wages wants one of our players.

Their frugal policy serves ENIC well first and foremost. However; ENIC always prefer a sale to retaining a top player on big wages.

VDV will no doubt be the next player that presents Spurs with this scenario if he stops believing in the 24 year jam tomorrow 'project'.

Players want to go to successful clubs which with only 1 trophy in last 20 years is not us.
