Match Simon Whatshisface Boys vs. The Mighty Spurs Sunday 27th Oct 2pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yesterday was very disappointing, of all the away performances this season yesterday showed the least amount of promise. Other games we have played well but from the first minute we were just unable to play out of the press and time and time again we kept giving the ball away which was very frustrating.

Within the first 10 minutes you could tell we were not going to get anything from that game. Giving a poor goal away just adds the fuel to home fans in that type of game.

Team selection in hindsight wasn't great. Those types of games show how difficult it is for 17 year olds to have an impact in the Premier League. Sadly for Moore that happened as we didn't have anything down the left.

Loved how big Vic the hardman doesn’t berate cuti for that stupid pass or even himself for some of his suicide passes out. It’s all well and good going beserk to a new young 18 yr old player but nothing against the senior pros.

He knows that Cuti would have had a go back

Classic cowardly bully boy who hasn’t got the guts to dominate his own 6 yd box

Good shot stopper but that’s all!

Well I did mention at the bottom I think we're far more on for 6th-8th tbh, 4th is just what I conceive of as our absolute maximum target no matter what personnel changes there may or may not be, by the time January rolls around we will likely have already dropped too many points to realistically achieve anything beyond that, and we are unlikely to sign the kind of grab the game by the balls type player we are desperately crying out for that will significantly change our league prospects. People have quoted my post and poo-pooed our chances in the EL but David fucking Moyes has been to an EL final with a far worse WHU squad than we've currently got. It's very winnable for teams with PL resources, just happens that fairly often the teams that are in it are also in contention for the CL through league participation and see that as an easier avenue, so they field weakened sides against good if not spectacular Italian, German, Spanish sides and get handily beaten because their reserve sides are not as good as those sides' first XI. Hence why I said I'd rather see us bun the league off in favour of putting out our strongest XI, especially as most EL sides won't have done extensive research on us like the PL sides have.

Which EL teams have better players than us?

(I won't profess to know.)

......And how exactly are you measuring that?

It's about the mentality and hunger ......they are way too inconsistent and so far havent shown an ability to win big games. The players are still maturing as a team and I think it's too soon to expect any trophy, domestic or in Europe. Next season we should be in a better position.

With Ange?

So which teams have better players?

Started to wonder whether it was a psychological thing with the players yesterday. I mean the audacity to call themselves crystal 'palace' with the state of that ground. Crystal wastetip they should call themselves. Dreadful ground.

I said that we haven't got the players to win it. They haven't yet shown enough to suggest they can win anything, not even the league cup. Look at their inconsistency in the league. The squad is good and probably the strongest on paper but on the pitch they haven't shown enough. I don't know enough about other teams in the EL but I know enough about our team that they dont look like they can go all the way to a final and win it.

There's defo growth needed in that respect for us to win it; but there's a lot of football to be played in the meantime (between now and June) which equates to time and opportunity to do so.

Crystal Palace is a really nice area.

Shame they don't play anywhere near Crystal Palace.

Lying fucks.
Been there before. Nightmare to get to. And the away end is on a hill. Seats were wooden and the ground inside even looks dull when the sun is shining. Worst ground in premier league. Luton were neck and neck with them last season. Worst ive been to ever was the dell. Had toilets nect to the food area.

Just so you know, Ulrikacoglou Ulrikacoglou , I also started a match thread once. Same thing happened. Never done one since. I still feel responsible for our humiliating defeat, just like you are.

I don't really blame them. I did think the title was asking for what transpired though. 🤣

My and advice is "Tottenham Hotspur verses the notoriously difficult to breakdown and stoically resilient one time winners of the Ueffa cup and a growing force Wolverhampton wanders". That kind of thing just to be sure, preferably read in the voice of Peter Salisis.
