Fulham lost at home to UTD's worst ever team, having it's worst ever attacking performance. And some of you want Marco Silva?

I don't want to hear anything from a lot of you if our next coach is too defensive and we are watching murderball again.

We lost at home to one of the worst teams in the league, on a 7 game defeat streak. They came to our place, and beat us. AT HOME! 7 GAME RUN OF DEFEATS!!!

So let's go from that to Silva who is also not great?

Things are shit right now but the goal is still meant to be winning things. Feels a million miles away right now but it isn't.
The club is non-committal to implementing a style of play. If they were they wouldn’t have went from Conte to Ange, from Paratici to Lange. They keep flip flopping back and fourth, they keep signing players who don’t fit the managers style like Dragusin or ones the manager doesn’t want like Spence. There’s no long term strategy in place here. This will never be a Liverpool situation where Edward’s and Klopp were working in tandem to build the best team for his style of play. This will always be opportunistic “Who’s available? Who’s young? Who might come good?” style of squadbuilding. Managers like Silva and Frank are the best we can hope for because they’re flexible, they’ll build a team with the tools they’ve got. It won’t be a great watch, but we’ll get some decent results, and with our resources unlike what they’ve got with their current clubs, they’ll keep us in the top 10/8.

You say that the goal is about winning things but it’s clearly not with this board. How can you say that after the summer and now January window we’ve just had? After the wage bill dropping below Villa and soon to be Newcastle? Other clubs have overtaken us and we’ve just stood and watched. The goal should be to put together whatever shit Lange/Paratici or whoever the next con artist is into a functional team and keep us from finishing embarrassingly low.

I hope you are wrong but my own flip flop is going from believing they have started another direction with recruitment and finally have a plan, to believing every word you just wrote there.

We will find out pretty soon I think.

I wanted Ange to succeed but things have turned septic and time to make a change , current situation isn't good for anybody . Can't see getting a permanent manager at present so we need a solid interim to get us thru to the end of the season without any calamity so they can maybe get Iraola in the summer.
Perhaps someone like Gary O'Neil might be decent filler , not flash but could keep it simple and looks like he knows what he's doing .

Have a horrible feeling that we will get in Max Allegri until end of season and maybe beyond! He is out of work and has a long relationship with don Fabio. I think he would steady up the ship (likely also worked with bents, Kulu, Romero and Radu and can speak Italian with udogie and Vic) and secure survival, the issue is the style, he will be a stark stark departure from the attacking football we’ve supposedly wanted to play. His pragmatism makes conte teams look like Klopps team at dortmund

I'm so Terzic in us because he's like Rangnick, both have worked in the director of football aspect. They will definitely have a very good overview of knowing what to improve, or at least know how to work with what they have. Definitely not just settling on one plan and work on it like Ange.

Yeah i was thinking this too. There have been rumours that Levy has had meetings with Allegri, of course Patrici knows all about him. The team needs to stop shipping goals so Allegri would help with his Italian defensive knowledge.

But do our defense and central midfield have the defensive knowledge to succeed in a defensive system??? I highly doubt it.

People here flame Conte for what he's said but it was nothing but the truth

WHAT people on here flamed Conte for saying that????

Ice Cube Reaction GIF

The more I think about it, if he isn't gone this morning after yesterday, then he's here for the season.

THEN and only then, we go for whoever our main target is*

I don' t want him either! But the club has dug itself so deep into a pot hole, i'm resigned to us getting any manager that actually wants to come here.
