Hütter is another intriguing manager in terms of having no problem in getting his teams to score. And unlike someone like Ange he has been doing it in top leagues without having most of the best players of those leagues at his disposal, so I don't see why it shouldn't translate reasonably well to EPL. Unless you think EPL is on a whole different level compared to the rest I guess. Here's his nearly 6 year record in Bundesliga & Ligue 1:

18/19 (with Frankfurt): 60 goals in 34 matches-7th place
19/20 (with Frankfurt): 59 goals in 34 matches-9th place
20/21 (with Frankfurt): 69 goals in 34 matches-5th place
21/22 (with Gladbach): 51 goals in 34 matches-10th place
23/24 (with Monaco): 68 goals in 34 matches-2nd place
24/25 (with Monaco) 51 goals in 26 matches-3rd as things stand

Since one of the main concerns with potential candidates seems to be their (in)ability to get their teams to score on a consistent basis, his record is quite encouraging.

Seen Xavi mentioned here and there and I wonder, what is so exciting about him? He won the league I guess but even in their current mess Barca is expected to that every now and then right? His record in Europe there was quite dreadful. My knowledge of football outside of Premier League is pretty limited though so there probably people who know more about him than I do, why would he be a good option?

Just do it you bald goblin fuck

Just once , I dare you , make a good decision, you might even enjoy it

would be a good choice to get everyone back on the same side but not sure if a nostalgia pick is a great idea really. could all go horribly wrong, bare in mind that although he massively helped in moulding them he had some absolutely genuine worldies to work with in Kane, Dele, Son, Erisken, Hugo and Dembele
can only see bergval and maybe gray out of the current bunch reaching that kinda level.

then Levy would have to wait until next summer to get him anyway

Difficult to tell though. Dembele, Eriksen, Rose, Walker were mostly shit under AVB and Sherwood. There might be a lot more int he squad than we realise.

walker had a fanstasic loan spell at villa, was clear he was a good buy, same for eriksen. I'll give you dembele though, that was down to Poch as he was useless under AVB and frequently benched . Kane, Dele and Son though, unbelievable alignment of the stars to get 3 world class young attackers.
maybe the same could happen with Moore, Tel and Odobert..but i kinda doubt it. That was a lotto win that he unfortunately failed to capitalize on (levy too)

I asked the same question and received Exclusive Intel on why.

You will find the secret in Post #3485.

Same breath winning La Liga with Barca is harder than winning Ligue 1 with PSG… and I think most would be happy for that to justify Poch as a proven winner now.

I mean I would like Poch back but him winning with PSG is not really the reason for it. We have tried bringing in "proven winners" in Mourinho and Conte and that didn't work. Under this ownership I don’t think those types of managers are ever gonna work, as sad as it.

I think Iraola would be good choice however if he sneaks Bournemouth into Europe he may want to carry on the ride a bit longer. I could possibly see it that he might use us to get a new contract and then review the following season if any other clubs come in.

The one flying under the radar that has me intrigued is Frank. Tactically switched on and can adapt on the situation of the game rather than just playing one way. Also good bringing through young talent and has a decent personality. Think he may be more open to having a new challenge after securing Brentford in PL.

Xavi Iraola or Poch for me

The fact xavi is available right now makes him my number one pick as in an ideal world we sack ange now and give someone a chance at the europa league

If Poch were to come back , are we in a bigger mess now than the first time he took over, and would he really have the appetite to sort it out all over again ?

No chance he will want to stay at Bournemouth even if they qualify for Europe. They won't have the squad to compete in Europe and maintain a respectable league position. It will be like De Zerbi at Brighton. His agent will be telling him now is the time to get out! He's hit their ceiling!

It turns into a poison chalice once your in Europe because chances are you don't win the European competition and it'll effect your league points total by somewhere between 10-20 points with all the injuries/fatigue added. They could even end up in a relegation battle next year if they were to get an extreme scenario like Tottenham this season or Newcastle/Man United last season. West Ham nearly got relegated the year they won the Conferance! Turned into a great season for them but that shows the insane effect it has on the league position. Them "Midtable" clubs don't have the squads to compete every 3 days unless they get very lucky with injuries all year.

Could you imagine Bournemouth missing their first choice goalkeepeer and centre backs for 3 months while trying to compete in Europe. They genuinely would be in a relegation battle. We saw it happen to Leicester under Rodgers too and that destroyed Rodgers reputation. He'd be crazy to stay.

No, we have money now and we're don't need to move stadiums, there's talent in the squad as well that needs nurturing and our youth teams are at a higher level then it was when he took over.

The league is far more competitive though.

I agree on Jose and Conte, guys that need the cheque book to win, aren’t going to work at Spurs.

Especially when they play passive football and are happy to let other teams come to WHL and dominate the ball…

Tbh I don’t think Poch, Xavi, Iraola fit that description at all. They’ve all shown they want to impose a style on their opponent and don’t need the cheque book as much.

Guys like Frank and Silva will struggle much faster with the crowd at WHL if results aren’t great.
