Match Southampton (h) - Bounce Back Time

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

First post- be gentle chaps. Still laughing at Woolwich today. That matches any one of our "embarrassments" this season. A lovely way for Wenger to spend his 1000th game. I am just annoyed that some of those easily winnable games where we fucked up are likely to mean we are the nearly men again come May. That said-maybe we can get a good win tomorrow & L'Arses will be twitching in the nomad camp. I'm reckoning a 4-2 win after the goalfest in the EPL today. Which means it'll be 0-0 no doubt. Very proud of the lads on Thursday & hope they can hit that kind of form they showed in the last 25 minutes. Chadli needs a run up top with Ade. That combo IMO has serious potential to damage defences all round this league

What is your opinion on Reebok?

Nice enough ground. Decent atmosphere at times. Stuck in the middle of nowhere on a retail park. I've read some of the posts about redeveloping WHL-which is very much needed, but having seen Bolton drop like a sack of shit, the crippling debt that a new ground can leave as a legacy sends me cold tbh. They are still paying for a ground they rarely fill these days. Anyway, I couldn't give a shit about them to be honest. I just hope that when WHL is finally redeveloped it's done without a huge lingering debt. I'd rather struggle to get tickets at a ground that's probably too small for the size of the club than sit in a block on my own in a huge ground that's almost empty & the club wallowing in a financial pile of shit of its own making. This is the future for Wet Spam-they won't afford the electricity bills at Stratford when they get relegated. Am so glad we didn't end up with that white elephant. I live in Woodford these days & do a quick Hail Mary every time I go past the Olympic stadium. Totally unsuitable for a football team. Let alone ours.

Hope tomorrow's game is a good win, feels like ages since I saw us stuff someone, but I fear that we won't treat this as an important game and be a bit complacent. After Danny Rose's comments on how draining the Europa League is, I wonder if the players' minds have already switched off?

...please no Sandro - he has sucked recently...and please try to get Chadli, Siggy, Eriksen, and Kane on the pitch at the same time...

trying to get 11 players on the pitch at once is going to be hard with the way our treatment room is looking. fuck it must be crowded in there. anyway I think we could play kane upfront with those 3 behind him and see how it goes, chadli on the right, eriksen in the middle and sig on the left?

Lloris (if available)

Naughton Kaboul(if available) Moody cunt Rose/Fryers

Sandro Dembele/Bentaleb

Townsend? Chadli Eriksen
Ade?

That was so much harder than it should have been. Fuck these injuries and niggles

I know Kane deserves it, you only need to look at my post in the Harry Kane thread for proof but Bobby needs the game time and I think it could be dangerous to throw Kane right into the mix.
What's the worst that could happen, soldado decides to do a tevez, and deprive us of "all his goals" or hand in a transfer request, haha he doesn't have that power let's see what harry kane can do or play both him and soldado.

This is a very obvious statement but if we contain Lallana we win the game.
With predicted injuries my team is below;

-------------------------Lloris---------------------
Walker-------Kaboul------Fryers-----Rose
------------------------Sandro------------------
Lennon-------Eriksen-----Paulinho---Townsend
------------------------Soldado----------------

Pace on the wings, get that ball on the white line of the 6 yard box for Soldier. No dropping back just play in the damn box.

4-1 win (goal awarded to southampton for extremely nooby thread)

That team is my worst nightmare. When 50% of your team are ball watchers/tiny dancers you will be in trouble. Classic soft Spurs.

Its one of those teams that will score, then switch off and instantly concede while they are still mentally patting themselves on the back.

What makes the loss so delicious: Before the game in the US there was a 10 min special on Oxtwat Chamberlain. All warm and fuzzy, building him up etc. Plus before the game Wenger said that this was the game of their season. Watching it unfold was amazing. Seeing that water bottle getting a hammering brought back fond memories.

I reckon it'll end 1-1, tough game after seeing our squad.
I think Tim's centre mid pairing will be the decisive factor in us winning the game or not, when the team selection has been poor we look massively unbalanced, moving the ball wide, middle, wide, middle without making many scoring chances for Soldado.

are you still in contact with AVB? How's he going in Russia?

In all seriousness I like the look of Hurri-Kane, he's very composed and has decent on-the ball attributes. Plus his kick into the stand vs Man Utd was legendary

The way its going, bricks and mortar will matter less. Where the video feed is beamed decides if you are a big club or not, not stadium capacity. Are you the feature match of the day in Singapore on channel ztaing in HD with build up, or are you a 30 second clip on their version of motd?

You are right. A new stadium will probably end up costing almost a billion pounds after the interest, upkeep, taxes etc is paid. How are you going to squeeze that out of fans? Its a tombstone around your neck and a massive risk. If Woolwich slip out of the CL this year by going on a slump, and they end up going on a long term downward spiral, that stadium will be a constant burden. I hope they sign a dozen Ozils and stretch themselves in both directions. London is just a red tape nightmare, with cut throat politicians and contractors. Our friken training ground cost more than Swansea's new stadium.

Creditors/banksters will be licking their lips if we build a new stadium. They will be the ultimate winners.
