Match Southampton v Tottenham Hotspur | Saturday 18th March | KO: 3pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

So, taking into account JWP's inevitable free-kick goal... we'll have to score at least TWO!

Which, I think we're fully capable of doing!!

Mind you, don't Southampton count themselves as one of those NON London clubs that have absolutely no right to, yet still hate us?

(Leiectser and Wolves being just two of the others...)

Discipline and drive should see us through weary legs.

I mean how much incentive and chance do we need?

They hate us for Wanyama, Toby, Poch and Martin Chivers!

Hoddle, Richards too, maybe a bit of PEH? That one might just be ambivalence though...

Think they have a bit of a hang up due to Bale also, compounded by the fact that we bought out a sell on fee from the original transfer when they were struggling financially, which was before he went berserk but ultimately saw them off out of a huge chunk from the Real Madrid transfer...

Strange that they don't feel the same about Liverpool who also stripped them of a bunch of talent and much more recently, but I suppose in their minds Liverpool are categorically and undeniably much bigger, whereas our level in the 90's and early 2000's might allow them to delude themselves into thinking they were almost on a level with us not too long ago, leading to more resentment to us.

I'm clutching at straws to try and explain it I know but can't think of any other reason.

Think it mostly started with the Hoddle and Richards transfer, the chairman at the time very vocal about us.

Yep we totally took the piss with the Bale transfer! Offered them less money to settle the 2nd half of the transfer because we knew they were skint.

Nice list, I can't believe you've actually dedicated weekends going to fucking Hull and Wolverhampton from Dublin just to watch us. Hopefully we won those two games.
We did, Hull was the 7-1 last game of the season 2016/17 I actually thought Hull was lovely, maybe it was just a nice sunny day but it seemed a nice place!

Wolves was in November 2018 we were 3-0 then game them two pens. it ended 3-2. Dembele went of injured and never played for us again. :pochcry:

Wolverhampton, I would not recommend.

How do you get the tickets, just buy in the home end?

I don't think it's even fair to say we took the piss, yeah we saw an opportunity and took advantage of the situation, but at the time it was giving them instant money to write of potential money (think it was mainly add-ons and performance related stuff). Nobody knew at the time just how good he was about to become, and just how much they were passing up for the sake of a David Button...

Really they should just be bemoaning sods law for that one.

PEH :walker-scream: :levylol::kanegoal::contesmile:

I can't remember if I'm a good omen as thread starter or a bad one so I've decided to find out!

That bodes well. Sure if you were any good at this lark you would remember.

But I think your luck is about to change. They are shite at home. 2 wins all season. 7 losses.

If they do win this game I think you will be banned from ever starting another match thread.
