Now, a result which matches the performance. Fairly even game. Both teams not offering much then suddenly Sporting came alive for the last ten minutes. The lack of energy is disturbing away from home. Better use of the squad is required! Especially the fuss made about the lack of depth.

First half I thought Sporting were there for the taking.
But with two in midfield, if Bentancur has a bad day (like today) we can't rely on someone with such limited ambition as Hojbjerg (who was poor as well) to pull us through

Kane's won 10 points in the league already with his goals, despite being somewhat underwhelming in general. But actually tonight his passing was very good and he created multiple solid chances, including that offside goal. He can't be lumped in with Son and Emerson right now. His major problem over the last few matches has been the total inability of others to get him the ball when he stays forward.

Emerson is a tosspot, big ass one.... squanders every chance going forward (why players continue to pass to him when there are other around, diff if no one else is there) .... weak ass player, no awareness around him in general , looks clueless does silly unnecessary fouls that can be avoided and just laughs his goofy face off.
I should have said I don't mind the loss as much as the boring football.
But my point is that we will lose games, we may as well give it a go, especially against the weaker sides; I thought they were there for the taking.
Something just doesn't feel right with how we are playing. There is always a huge gap in the 10 spot for one thing.
It's a carbon copy of most of our performances this season....... We just didn't get away with it tonight.
