Dier’s miss any worse than the two they had. I kinda think it would be a travesty if we won that match. Offered damn all in the first half, not much more in the second other than huff and puff. Let’s just push high up the park and swing in hopeful crosses. Not once did we open up their defence and the keepers good saves cam mainly from corners. Mind you Lloris had a few as well.

We didn't look a lot better than Marseille when we played them at home. In fact, it was a very even game until the red card.

And we're meant to be a 'lot better' than Frankfurt & Sporting. Hasn't really gone that way, in fact it's been a very evenly matched group made up of four teams who look like they're on a very similar level to each other.
 
The positives: Bentancur is genuinely good; Carrick-like? And Gil was excellent when he came on. Shows there might actually be options in the squad and we dont need to put up with the dross we’re being served. Spence and Gil worth a punt down the right?

Apart from that, it was pretty shit. Even when we were pressuring them at the end it wasnt cultured proper football it was hectic desperation. Which is obviously better than first half nothingness.
 
Hopefully Conte uses this injustice to get the siege mentality going. Take it out on Bournemouth, go get a result against Marseille and carry that momentum into the game v Liverpool. Still all to play for and if the players aren't fired up after that, we might as well all stay in bed.
