Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'm telling you, I was always dead against the Super League. No joke, I'm now 100% in favour just so I don't have to watch English refs every week.
Mate;

I reckon Levy's antics in attempting to get Spurs into the European Super League is the reason all this bollocks is happening.

He attempted to bite the Premier League hand, that has been feeding his greedy arse for 24 years, and he is now being payed back in full by those he was happy to throw under the bus to make even more money.

The handball rule is nonsense. What is a "natural position" anyway? The "natural position" changes depending on what the rest of the body is doing. The only thing that should matter is if an advantage was gained with the ball making contact with the hand.

Was Burn’s position natural?

No

So he should have received a second yellow!

Ref is corrupt or bottled it!

There were 5 other clubs who did that so if that was the case you'd see the same behaviour patterns against those clubs.

Yeah but he wasn't the only club that wanted to get in.

And it's not like English refs weren't shit before that.

Just seen this slowmo btw and it backs up exactly what I was thinking. No chance anyone can argue that his hand was in natural position but when you look at like this (the way VAR should) he clearly moves his hand INTO the ball

It’s pretty pointless blaming officials but today they hit a new low. I’m asking myself if this was the ref’s first game.
He got so many calls wrong he clearly had no confidence in his decisions. He was so erratic at playing advantage yet pedantic about a moving ball or taking a free from the wrong place.
Everyone seems to get a free hit at us for twenty minutes with all manner of infringements going unpunished, yet we usually get the first card.
Having said that, we were completely bullied for the first half with their centre halves absolutely owning Solanke. I have to ask why we can’t find defenders like that, you know, defenders that scare opponents.
The second half was almost proper Spurs but we couldn’t get passed their central defenders. Positives were mostly the effort and appetite and the keeper’s assured performance, and Reggie making the back line more balanced. Regillon ffs!
We probably deserved a point but were out thought, and out muscled.
I shall, of course be back on Wednesday. COYL! :troll:
They didn’t own Solanke when he scored though.

The issue, of course, is VAR makes it easy to clearly identify any time a ball hits an arm/hand. Which means players can exploit the black/white nature of the rule and start looking to kick a ball into a player's arm to gain a penalty. What would the success rate be? I don't know, but see diving: it'd be effective enough that it would happen a lot.

I don't disagree with you, at all. But we're asking the impossible sometimes, I think. It's an imperfect game with imperfect rules, refereed by imperfect people.

VAR should be improved upon and only used for offside decisions and violent conduct off-ball, IMO.

Those clubs agreed to be in it out of fear of missing the boat.

That is not the same thing as conspiring with foreign clubs to create something to replace the league your club is currently in.

Spurs are being black balled from the golf club because Levy took a shit on the 18th hole.

This club was blackballed from the Golf Club from the very start of the PL era.

There has never been a reason for Spurs fans to feel any loyalty towards the PL.
