Match Spurs v Bodo/Glimt (A) - Champions League - Tues 30th Sept - KO: 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I felt we deserved more tonight. But Tottenham were really dangerous when they actually decided to attack. If we had been really unlucky we could have lost the game as well. Good luck for the rest of your CL campaigne. :)

Posting stuff like you have is embarrassing.

Players seemed genuinely frustrated tonight - almost angry at times - which is a good thing for me. Maybe it was just a horrible trip, to a very unusual location and club, with a sodden plastic pitch. Also, the structure of the start to the season is absurd with the international breaks. With new management and signings, maybe it will take time.

But I hope we realise the opportunity of our kind fixtures in the CL and the opportunity to land quite comfortably into the last 16 with just a bit of focus and consistency.

We've been dreadful, not just bad, dreadful. Our fixture list has been a cake walk. We're 4th after 8 games, against teams all bar one we should be beating. We don't have XI injured like last season, which was an anomaly. I was Ange out before you say it.

Come back to me at the end of November and December and tell me how well we're doing, because of we play like this, we're going to get embarrassed.

We have more than enough quality to create anything that isn't a cross, teams much worse than us can. Even Doncaster could've had a couple against us and we made them look good because of how bad we are attacking. Say what you want about Ange, he was able to implement his style straight away. What the hell are we seeing now. I'm sure you were glad to see the back of Nuno, his performances weren't a million miles off these. We've got very lucky in a lot of games so far.

There's not even a hint of cohesive football. That's my issue. We're creating nothing that isn't just getting it out wide and crossing, or set pieces. I'm utterly baffled that this isn't concerning to you.

Poch had us going well when he started. Looking at the results now, not sure where you're plucking this 5 months nonsense out of. Before Christmas we got beat well by City and Liverpool, and by devine intervention lost to West Brom after absolutely battering them all game and their keeper had a career day, that was it. We scored goals, and beat teams well.

You have no idea what you are talking about do you? Been playing football manager and now think you understand everything?

I am fully aware that we have had some dreadful games, with Bournemouth being the only really poor one.

But then, being an adult with the ability to think, I am also fully aware that transitioning from last season to this season is not going to be a smooth ride, it was, and will be a thing that will continue to happen, until such time, the new manager and coaches has started bed their ideas into the squad.

You are just going to have be patient. Deal with it.

Apart from all the comments I've made about the management of tonights game, the performance and my opinions about how we should approach games like this....

What you don't understand is that I only want to talk to people about the actual football are people who actually possess coherent and mature levels of understanding.

You're not one of them. Discussions on footballing matters (with you) is like talking to a child. It's not my job to educate you, and I doubt I could, given the level of your posts
Is this a copy and paste job again? Swear you've said the exact same thing hundreds of times.

"I'm smarter than you, you're a child, you're not worthy of a response"

Can't you switch it up a bit?

This is on Frank

He had 45 minutes of utter shambles to watch and then a half time to assess, but no.....he does the one thing he shouldn't do......sit on his arse and hope it gets better when virtually every metric and stat showed that it wasn't working and we got worse as the half went on.

He has to take responsibility for this as he sat there for a further ten minutes and let them score.
Same v wolves 2nd half we were actually worse thsnn1st half so not sure what he says at HT abd expects bcos it don’t work generally.

It's insane the takes I am reading tonight.

Yes we played poorly.

Frank played a team to rest as many as the starting 11 as he could.

But the squad just doesn't have the depth required, yet some how asked to lead us to the CL, with a in-cohesive mess of a squad.

And we have only lost 1 in 9 games in all competitions?
I think some of the dinlows on here would actually sack Frank less than 10 games in. Incredible as that seems...
And as you said, we have had a more than decent start all things considered.

We have a lot of young players in this squad who are being asked to step up, we have most of our experienced creativity sidelined long term and we probably need at least two more windows to get the squad right.

I'm by no means a happy clapper, I've been plenty critical. But the club actually had a decent window, we got a manager who most people seemed happy with. What is required now is a bit of patience and support.

Some of the takes on here convince me we aren't dealing with serious people tbh.

A lot of it is that mob up the road looking like challengers and living rent free in some of our so called fans heads. And that melting adds to the urgency and impatience in our fan base.

We started with...

----Bergvall----Bentancur----Sarr----
---Johnson----Richie----Odobert----

A toddler could tell you that was gonna be limited af.

Look at that front 3... it stinks.

We just don't have the players to support the kind of rotation he wanted for this game.

Not with injuries we currently have to solanke and Kolo, especially.

Frank had no problem attacking at Brentford.

Fluidity wasn't an issue.

Whilst he's still getting to grips with the players and who he can trust, to rotate in a way that doesn't completely gut us, we have to give him some time.

We're 4th in the league and 4th in the CL.

Give the guy credit for honouring his words that he's focusing first on making us resilient and difficult to beat.

Doing exactly that.

If we go on and have our players back and we're still not as fluid as we should be, then I'll join you, but for now it's clear we're still a work in progress.

And I doubt we'll ever see that front three starting again.

Rancid.
True about BJ, and Odobert to an extent. Straight away we’re at a disadvantage, even though he probably cost many times more than their entire squad combined.

But where was Gray? This was exactly the type of game for him. And what’s the obsession with Bentancur? I honestly don’t see it.

He didn’t have to start BJ. It’s obvious by now he’s a liability. Why not just change it up a bit and go two up front? We actually looked good against PSG, Kudus and Richy both more involved, more dominant. Even if we play Odobert, give him that freedom.

Right now it’s just not working. Wasn’t working against Wolves either.

Might be early to say it, but is he shaping up to be the Danish Southgate?

Yup, we played poorly, but the fact we fought back and the players are pissed, is a good thing.

And despite all this, we have only lost 1 game in 9, Nothing to worry about in my book, enjoy the ride and the players get some actual coaching.

We are difficult to beat, we actually have set pieces now, okay they don't always come off, but we are nowhere near the chaos we was last season, and the players even if playing poorly, seem to be giving it their all, bar one or two of the usual suspects.

Played poor, subs made the difference when they come on.

No need to panic.

Pretty much.

I think so little of Woolwich, I don't care what they are doing, I only care what we are doing, and if takes a few years to get it right, then so be it...

I want what is best for Spurs, and Spurs need time to sort the mess Levy left us.

lol you gotta be on the troll, fella.

Enjoy your evening.

What we need to realise is we can’t play that much worse than we have at times this season and we’ve only lost once. Thats a real positive. At some point we will find some rhythm and the better performances will come. Frank needs to stop playing certain players and we all know who they are. Getting Muani and Solanke fit will make a difference.

No idea what I'm talking about? Tell me what am I wrong about? Do you see good cohesive football? Do we look like a team that's going out with a plan? I see a team getting outplayed EVERY game.

Again, if I seen some green shoots of recovery, I'd be happy. If we didn't look lost every game put, I'd be happy. Tonight was a joke. Our recent performances have been an utter joke. I guess Nuno was to blame for the Mourinho reign, and that's why it was welcomed when he got sacked for putting out the same level of performences.

Mate, the man has had 4 months in charge and we're not seeing anything that looks like he's been here linger than 5 mins. If you're happy that this is the level of football you want to see, you do you, but I want to see any sort of improvement and fast.

We've had a piss easy schedule. We've played the 3 worst teams in the league so far, two midtable sides and had a good day out against the worst City team under Pep.

Again, you're happy with this showing so far, that's cool. I'm not going to insult you over it. I've been voicing my concerns since the Villarreal game, and we've been poor in every game since.

You can't apply reason and logic when you are dealing with reactionary dinlows. Don't waste your breathe.
If he does play football manager he rolls his face across the keyboard

The last two matches have all been on Frank and his team selection. Not excusing the performances from the players has been poor but the changes he has made and fucking about with the midfield and front three constantly is a joke
I think the tactics or lack of and the will to win have something to do with it. We sat back while that first half every player back in our 3rd. No one presser and they just passed the ball around at will. Then 2nd half number of times their players could have a cigar in our box the space that had. I thought a frank team would be physical , run abd press at least even if no technical ability.
