Match Spurs v Bodo/Glimt (A) - Champions League - Tues 30th Sept - KO: 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

You're right, it doesn't. This is shite.
Well, you got two choices.

You can cry like a baby that can't get it's way and throw a tantrum every game.

Or act like an adult, and realise that for years the club is run by a twat, who only contribution to the club, was building a 1st class stadium, training facilities, and the local charity work, and be patient and see how the heads of the club take the club forward.

The choice is entirely yours.

Dummy or maturity, your call.

Can't help but chuckle as Hoddle and TNT say we would have lost that game last year.

Erm... no. Played the same team 4 months ago twice and thumped them twice :ange-blow:

LOLOLOLOL
I really did LOL..
Glenda did not really say that?
Not exactly. What he actually said was that if we were 2-0 down to Bodo and 1-0 down to Wolves last season we would have lost both. And he’s probably right.

Poch was on the verge of the sack in November 2014 - but for a deflected Kane freekick goal and win against Villa.
Which even at the time felt stupid. Look at the results before that. They were about par for the course. Not great, certainly not awful. There were also some really good football played then, we were shaky at the back given our defenders were dreadful (bar Jan). Even Walker was a bit of a liability back then. And the club signings after losing Bale, were utter tripe and had to be played.

I hated Levy, glad he's gone. I'm sure you, like me, cried like a baby about him, and look where it's got us.

I'm not crying like a baby, I'm calling out something that is very much black and white. We're playing really poorly, there's no cohesion and it doesn't look like improving. Praying that it does, I watch every game hoping for something to hold onto, but there's so little. Been here for 30+ years and fed up that our ambition is to just be okay. It gets tiring.

its bodo, just cos its a CL game doesnt change the fact its a team that wouldn't even survive in the prem. we will have more of the ball than them.

a big team would go there and bully them, not treat them like a side to be worried about.
Want to bet? Because I can tell for free that sides are going to struggle going to that part of the world in that stadium on an artificial pitch that they heavily water and ice up intentionally.

There is a reason they have such a good record at home in Europe.

We arent talking about mugs here, they are in the CL on merit

Which is funny because in Ange's first season Spurs were the 2nd best team for "points gained from losing positions".

Obviously that was different last season but then he played most of it without his best players - especially in defence.

We are now seeing Frank struggle when we don't have our best players in attack. (or indeed a quality passer in midfield which was no different to last year). The lesson is: team's struggle without their best players?

The lesson is... don't sack your manager early into his tenure?

We've been dreadful, not just bad, dreadful. Our fixture list has been a cake walk. We're 4th after 8 games, against teams all bar one we should be beating. We don't have XI injured like last season, which was an anomaly. I was Ange out before you say it.

Come back to me at the end of November and December and tell me how well we're doing, because of we play like this, we're going to get embarrassed.

We have more than enough quality to create anything that isn't a cross, teams much worse than us can. Even Doncaster could've had a couple against us and we made them look good because of how bad we are attacking. Say what you want about Ange, he was able to implement his style straight away. What the hell are we seeing now. I'm sure you were glad to see the back of Nuno, his performances weren't a million miles off these. We've got very lucky in a lot of games so far.

There's not even a hint of cohesive football. That's my issue. We're creating nothing that isn't just getting it out wide and crossing, or set pieces. I'm utterly baffled that this isn't concerning to you.

Poch had us going well when he started. Looking at the results now, not sure where you're plucking this 5 months nonsense out of. Before Christmas we got beat well by City and Liverpool, and by devine intervention lost to West Brom after absolutely battering them all game and their keeper had a career day, that was it. We scored goals, and beat teams well.

Posting stuff like you have is embarrassing.
I genuinely can acknowledge that we have been a hard watch on multiple occasions this season but utter fucking hyperbole like this makes it hard to take you very seriously. "should be winning" all but our game vs City I assume, last time we won at West Ham was Nov 2019 under José, Brighton did the double over us last season and went and turned over Chelsea away 3-1 a week later, you may not like what you're watching and that's perfectly valid, but claiming there's "not a hint of cohesive football" on display from a team with 1 loss from 9 games, 3 of which were 3-0 wins, just makes you sound like a petulant child.

You ask "what are we seeing now", you are seeing a man accumulating successful results, improving defensive stability as a solid base to work on attacking cohesion when, you know, our only good strikers aren't injured. Yeah I was bored watching Villarreal, I was bored tonight, I don't wish to be bored long term, I also trust that we will look much better in the attacking half of the pitch when Frank actually knows what his best midfield and attack look like and gets it playing together for a stretch of games. The experience of being expected to take the initiative of a game is something that wasn't awfully familiar to him until his last season at Brentford in certain home games so will take him some adjusting on a personal level as well.

I'll be on board if we look this shit by say Feb/March but I can't believe we haven't even got to October yet and people are fucking melting to this degree already on a new project. 1 loss for fuck sake.

You are so completely and utterly wrong.

Don;t look like improving, we are hard to beat at the moment, even if it means coming from behind to scrap a point.

Bodo are not a shit team at all, they are in CL for a reason.
Brighton are not a shit team.
Wolves are not a shit team, and were on a bounce after beating Everton in the Cup.
Bournemouth, our worst game, a very good side.
Held PSG, best club in the world at the moment, arguably, only beat us on penalties.
We have also beaten Westham for the first time in years at their ground, Mancity... Wlist all the time, everything I have explained earlier is going on.

You have zero understanding of what is going or any nuanced take on anything.

So I bid you farewell, and I will spend the rest of the evening, driving a McLaren 720s LMGT3 are Le Mans in VR, and bask in the fact that we have come from behind again, against a very good team and only been beaten once in 9 games.

Adios

Is this a copy and paste job again? Swear you've said the exact same thing hundreds of times.

"I'm smarter than you, you're a child, you're not worthy of a response"

Can't you switch it up a bit?
Not really, not where you're concerned.
You don't seem to have the ability to accept what you are told about your limitations. I can only tell you what I discern from your posts, your opinions and the way you interpret information you have available to you.
It's not a good picture.

they are still poor players, astro doesnt play a big a part as people make out, its still a game of football, i play 7 a side weekly on it, its still football. if anything it benefits the actual better footballers.

they are an ok side, but when you look at the value of their side compared to ours, it shouldnt even be a contest. it will be tho if you have bentancur anchoring and that front 3, we would struggle against tamworth on grass with that shit.

I'm not looking back, I'm talking about what's ahead. And let's be honest - those numbers don't match what we've actually watched the last few games.

It could just as easily have been two straight losses. We're nowhere near as good as some are pretending.
But they weren't losses... because of the effort the players put in for him, never giving up and constantly probing till the last second.

Which tells you he has started by instilling huge resilience in the players and that can dig us out of holes if we're sub-standard on the day, and they have total faith in him and want to give everything for him.

It's a key attribute to develop and you should be thankful he's done it from the off and can now build upon it layer by layer.

All those wishing this ends badly are going to be disappointed.

Hard to beat? We've had to come from 2 goals in 2 of our last 3, a goal down at the weekend. We're giving plenty of good chances up, we've been fortunate that we haven't been punished.

The goal posts moving is hilarious. But if it keeps you happy, fair enough. Enjoy your driving!

Unfortunately, I'm quite often right about these things. People don't want to hear it at the time, but just wait and see how it turns out. It's already heading exactly where I said it would.
We're so lucky to have your insight, brave seer.
