Match Spurs v Brighton (Away) - Sat 20th September - KO: 3pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Some bed wetters in this place - we played with attacking intent and were the better side with goals against the run of play and coming from errors.
Can absolutely still get something from the game. 💪

Bents has been decent, Udogie best player for us by a mile. Kudus tries to do too much, when he kept it simple we scored. Odobert quite anonymous, but his link up play with Udogie is quite good. Vicario has had a shocker, which is a bit rare. It’s a very weird game, but we can still salvage a result from this.

Our subs can win this match providing we don't make any errors trying to get back into it.

Udogie good going forward, badly caught out for first goal though.
Vic is nowhere near good enough, should be saving that all day long.
Likely see Simons and probably Tel at some stage as no other strikers on the bench.
Richy needs to get into better positions for our crosses and if the ref is not giving you the free then get to fuck up.

1. This is still very early in Frank’s tenure.

2. Our LW options are wank.

3. Our main striker is injured, other options are all injured.

4. Brighton seem to almost always have our number, including almost all games with Ange.

5. Sometimes you get outplayed and have no ideas.

6. There’s still another half yet.
Our main striker is no better/worse than the one that's on.

Aside from this. We're getting dominated, this is the 3rd very poor performance from our last 4. I'm more concerned than happy at this point. We cannot cope with pace.

Aside from the mistake in the lead up to their goal I think Odobert's been decent. Looks tidy on the ball and links up really well.

He's like the anti-Johnson, though. Looks great in open play but never feel like he's gonna score. Johnson looks like a league one player half of the time then finishes like an assassin.

Surprisingly enough, even after two nil, Brighton have been doing nothing to keep things tight. Very free flowing game with lots of end-to-end stuff.

Udogie is leaving so much space behind him despite playing fine in general, not sure whether by design or by his own initiative has he been pushing forward this much.

Frank will probably have to take one of Bentancur/Palhinha out for Simons, dropping Bergvall slightly deeper instead. Risky enough, but could pay dividends.
Udogie is the only player that looks capable of doing anything in their final 3rd so we need to ensure there's cover behind him. Everyone else up top has been useless.

We don't want to reach that level?

I know I do.

We aren't reaching that level if we don't have the same mentality.

Why are you so afraid of the pressure to win?
I have no idea what you're on, today.

Having an absolute mare.

You wanted that fat aussie bum to stay who lost to this lot 3 times under his tenure.

Now, all of a sudden, you're posing as the saviour of our winning mentality and we should be battering them with a new manager who's just got here and still only getting his ideas across.

Suss.
