Eh? We finished 5th in Postecoglou's first season and reached a semi-final in the League Cup and won the Europa League despite having an unprecedented injury crisis that went for 6 months last year. For me we’ve had the Ange/Levy enema and it’ll take some time before things settle into a certain direction. I won’t be too distressed about anything but Ange-level relegation form before the winter window.
My expectations are to remain in the top half all year, even though I believe we have players who can do more we also have glaring needs and as we’ve seen, smaller clubs can still get at us.
Improvement month by month ought to be the measuring stick and the climate is a lot more fair than it was 6 months back for example
It certainly wasn’t all bad, not everyone was poor, and credit is due for remaining in a position to save a point.Frank said this was the best performance so far this season. Of course there are wrinkles to iron out, but praise is due.
After Ange’s run out of the gate we were a 1 ppg squad.Eh? We finished 5th in Postecoglou's first season and reached a semi-final in the League Cup and won the Europa League despite having an unprecedented injury crisis that went for 6 months last year.
Why on earth would we expect to just hang around the top half - especially when we've added Palinha, Simons, Kudus and not lost any first teamers?
Maddison's injury is a cruel blow but he was out for months in Postecoglou's first season and we still finished 5th
Just seems a weird lack of expectation
Well I thought we played well but if you read some comments on here you would think it's the end of the world.Couldn't watch the game today
Were we any good?
Decent result either way

You're just creepy.

The mindset that can come back from being 2-0 down to draw 2-2 is FAR more encouraging than the mindset that goes 2-0 UP and ends up losing 3-2!!Anyway - excellent mindset to come back from 0-2 down. Good signs from Frank

Apologies. I defer to someone who clearly knows way more than I do about performing at both ends of the pitch.
Odobert lost the ball, Udogie was our best player.Well I thought we played well but if you read some comments on here you would think it's the end of the world.
We dominated the early minutes then I think it was Destiny needlessly lost the ball and we got caught on the break, 2nd goal poor clearance by Lucas then a shot that many thought Vic should have done better. Possession 64% to us and Simons had two opportunities to score but fluffed both. We are not going to lose 17 PL matches this season.
