Youth Spurs Youth 2023/24

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Thought it might be worth listing some of the non-coaching football staff who will have an influence on Spurs youth set up under new Technical Director Johan Lange - interestingly at Villa he appointed Mile Jedinak, now one of Ange coaches, the job of loans manager, a role desperately needed at Spurs.

Simon Davies - Academy Director

These guys apparently will work for the Chief Scout who will report to Johan Lange :

Sebastian Taghizadeh
Head of Emerging Talent (ex Watford, Udinese, Wham)

Paul Lowe
Head of Academy Recruitment age 14-17 (since 2017, Previously at Liverpool)

Andy Scoulding
Head of Football Strategy (Paratici hire, ex Rangers Chief Scout)

Lots of staff to add to the coaches, hopefully the combined brainpower will improve the Spurs youth output in the coming years

Maybe worth adding Ange was Australian u20 coach for about 7 years earlier in his career and both Ryan Mason and Matt Wells (two of Ange coaches) came through Spurs academy and Wells was a coach in the academy so plenty of relevant experience at Spurs in influential positions.

Devine & Scarlett both start

stream here

Not very impressed. Last year E u19's looked much better, and its largely the same squad now in E u20's, with little creativity - Devine put as LW (not his position at all) and Scarlett put as RW (again far better as CF).

Different coach ? If so its a lot to do with poor team selection and non existent tactics - job for him coming up as Conte's assistant ! If its the same coach he just needs to look at how the E side performed last season to see how to set the team up !,

The positions in the graphic weren't really accurate, it was more of a 4-3-3 with Scarlett up top and Devine wide right but drifting inside

Philogene 38, 63
Delap 62
Elliott 45+6, 90+1
Madueke 53, 59
OG 87
Rowe 89
Stumbled across a YouTube and was delighted to watch it. Clive Allen on Comms, enthusing all the way through (I saw from 1-1).

Just wish we could have something vaguely close on the cameras for the younger groups (tonight’s was great), plus 15k helped electrify the performance and night.

Fitting first home game as reigning champions. Noni was brilliant as were Elliott, Palmer, Philogene and the City lad was Modric like lubricating moves.
