Good 4-1 away win over mid table Leicester, despite no Moore or Olusesi.

More game time for some of first years - James and Lehane starting, whilst a debut for Logan ( think the E u17 defender must have been injured) and another few minutes for Orr plus a 2nd appearance off bench for Spurs u16 Adewole..

Would be good to get an injury update on 2nd years Rowswell and Wilhoft-King, both of whom would improve squad options. But this squad is coming together nicely.

Probably see a few more u16's over next couple of months, especially if Moore and Oulusesi are permanently with u21's.

Top of u18 league table with 3 point lead over 2nd placed Fulham and 5 points over Wham (3rd) and Villa (4th) with a 30-20 goal difference after 9 games.

Team today :

Bloedorn, Black, King, Chaplin (c), Morgan, Hall, Ajayi, James, Lehane (Adewole 83), Akhamrich (sub Logan 73), Irow (Orr 90).
Substitutes (not used): Archer, Egan-Riley

Peterborough u21 v Spurs u21 in u21 Premier League Cup

Last u21 Squad (not in EFL Trophy match):
Gunter, Ashcroft, Lyons-Foster (c), Dorrington, Sayers, Cassanova, John (Robson 90+6), Kyerematen (Williams 81), Donley, Santiago (Soonsup-Bell 39), Lankshear.
Substitutes (not used): Keeley, McKnight.

Santiago is out injured, and Dorrington & Donley were on First team bench on Saturday.

Moore and Olusesi available but not used by u18's, will they be involved in u21's ? Abbott also available

Donley, Phillips and Dorrington might be available since todays game was an early kickoff and they didn't play. Moore and Olusesi were probably just out today because they played on Thursday with England and probably flew back from Croatia yesterday. Hopefully Moore involved tomorrow though, would like a front 4 of:

Moore - Lankshear - Soonsup-Bell
Donley

Not sure that Phillips is that likely to appear today unless Spurs u21's are short of defenders - so far Phillips has played in 2 EFL Trophy matches (which is good for him to play against mens sides to aid his experience even though they were L1 and L2) and two seemingly random PL 2 matches, the 2nd of which was 27 Oct, previous one back in August, the rest of the time he's spent training with first team and on first team bench in about a third of matches which looks to me as if its only when first team are short of defenders on bench.

Spurs u21 options at CB seem to be Dorrington, the over age Lyons-Foster (unless he's needed as a DM), Sayers (this season playing as LB) and Andiyapan (maybe injured atm), so I'm guessing Spurs u21's will probably field Dorrington and BLF as CB's with Phillips staying with first team group.

Agree on Moore but it maybe he shares the 90 minutes with Williams who has just returned from injury and probably only going to play say 30 mins.

I'd quite like to see Olusesi on u21 bench as he looks physically able to cope with it, but just depends on the manager as he's got a few midfield options although most not top quality.

and Andiyapan back from injury (not seen him for a few weeks) makes bench.

Of the u21 regulars, looks like Craig is the only one out injured (as he has been for a few weeks), and Sayers not in squad today (Late Edit - and Santiago injured as well ) so manager has an almost complete squad to pick from. And that might be reason why none of Phillips, Moore and Olusesi are not in squad.

Isn’t Santiago out injured as well ?
