Player Spurs Youth 24/25 (including younger players loaned out)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

One of a few U21's with contract expiring in June 2025 - I think all 11 of Maguire, Krasniq, Ashcroft, McKnight, Baptiste, Andiyipan, Cassanova, Kyerematen, Robson, Irow, Williams are in that boat. Can't guarantee there are not others.

I'm sure we'll extend a couple by a year because I think we might need the numbers but can't see many longer ones.

Possible extensions for Irow, Baptiste (if he gets back to last season's form before injury) and maybe Kyerematen and McKnight ....... after that it becomes problematic.

That would leave in u21's :
On loan (now) - Keeley, Gunter, Dorrington, Craig, Abbott, Devine, Donley (and in first team) Lankshear Moore, Olusesi,

Not on Loan - Bloedorn, Arganese-McDermott, King, Rowswell, Black, Hall, Ajayi, Akhamrich (8) plus Academy Year 2 promoted - maybe Archer, Warren, Logan, Egan- Riley, Lehane, James (6)

Plus possibly : Irow, Baptiste (if he gets back to last season's form before injury), Kyerematen, McKnight (4)

I suspect there will he 4 - 6 of the current Academy Year 1/U16's who will be playing for u21's next year such as Tynan Thompson, Luca Williams-Barnett, Malachi Hardy, Jun'ai Byfield, and a couple of others

So I think we can field a reasonable u21 squad of about 22 players next season plus loan out the best of them/have them play with first team whilst releasing a number of this years u21's as just discussed.

If we saw any players released from other clubs we fancied, we could do that too, but not essential,

Wednesday 29th January @ 19.45 - Braintree Town v Spurs u21's (National League Cup)

Last u21 squad
Maguire, McKnight, Arganese-McDermott, Casasnova (c), King, Robson (Hardy 64), Kyerematen, Tyrese Hall, Black (Andiyapan 90), O Irow, Akhamrich.
Substitutes (not used): Bloedorn, Baptiste, Rowswell.
We need to win by at least 4 goals to have a chance of qualifying for the next round.

We would then be relying on the result of Sutton vs Forest to go through.
-A Sutton win would see us knocked out
-A Forest win would likely see us knocked out on goal difference
-A draw with Sutton winning the shootout would likely see us knocked out on goal difference
-A draw with Forest winning the shootout would see us through (if we won by 3)

Our record this season in this cup, I think, is 2 draws and one 3-0 loss inn a group where we need to play 4 matches.

The only benefit of playing this tie will be to get the players more used to playing mens football - and maybe if any scouts are in attendance to see which of the 5 or 6 players likely to be released in summer they might like to sign. Never any real chance of progressing.

Leeds United 'take Tottenham star on trial' as transfer chance is clarified Egan-Riley. Might make therhinospeaks therhinospeaks day !
We signed him from City. What has happened to Herbie James, also from City. Why did we bother or are we doing someone a favour?
Are we helping Leeds out in view of our interest in Harry Gray. Levy is pals with Leeds CEO Angus Kinnear so might work out well in the future.
Reported today that Man Utd are on the brink of stealing top Woolwich youth player Aydn Heaven , 18yrs.
They have already signed their top youth scorer , Chibo,
We need to get LWB sorted asap.

Neither player from ManCity has looked particularly promising.

TBF, its not unusual for all clubs to let go half the players signed for their U18's 2 years later, and both ex Mancity players fall into that category.

If we can get Harry Gray in partially paid for by giving them our 2 Mancity rejects, then that's fine.

LWB can only sign a legally binding pro contract when he is aged 17 - which is October. It is thought he has now signed a 2 year scholarship contract to start full time in Spurs academy starting on 1 July 2025.

Question, Do the youth teams play Angeball and if they do, do they suffer the same injuries? It is noticeable that Gray, Moore & Bergvale have avoided injury and is it just those in their 20’s + that are suffering
