Player Spurs Youth 24/25 (including younger players loaned out)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I agree with this.. The only other could be Irow IMO. Other than that I expect a mass exodus.

Baptiste looked good last season - but has not played (maybe 10 mins ?) this season due to injury, so if he proves his fitness over next few months, probably fair to keep him too.

No real change from last summer when I was astounded how many were kept on, including most of Lilywhite's list.

Maybe keep Black and Rio?

Wouldn't be that fussed about any on that LW list being moved on but not sure where that would leave the 21s numbers-wise. 12 with contracts running out. Dorrington, Hall, Gunter potentially loaned out too. Pele and Rowswell never play...
Hardy, Byfield, LWB, Lehane, Archer probably the first to move up. Maybe Thompson, Adewole as well but I think a lot of the others will stay with U18s.

Not really run the numbers but maybe Irow & Kyerematen on 2 year (1+1optional) deals if needed.

From your list, keep ;

- possible first team next season or loan : Abbott, Donley, Dorrington, Gunter, Hall, Keeley, King, Lankshear

- Keep in u21's : Ajayi, Akhamrich, Baptiste, Black, Bloedorn (back up gk) Irow, Rowswell

Craig I think may be re-loaned in January, but already aged 21 I think he'll move on in summer if not before.

I don't see a future at Spurs for the others listed so better and fairer to allow them to pursue a career elsewhere. Baptiste and Rowswell seem to have been injured most of season, so they are on retain list

Will not be that many players left in u21's and not too many to promote to u21's from this year's Academy Year 2 (Moore and Olusesi probably training with first team), so I'd expect to see a few from this years Academy Year 1 play for u221's next season, and even u16's playing up a year this season (Byfield, Willams-Barnett).

Robson, age 22, was included in the EPL squad this season.
Keeley will no longer qualify as U21 next season. Also can't be CT or HG?
In 2024-25, Ashcroft. Linton. Maguire, McKnight and Williams would all be entering their final season eligible as U21, if kept on.

Abbott is aged 19 , did you mean Craig ?
Agree on Keeley, he'll be loaned out next season. Maybe become a no 2 gk but overseas trained player.
I can't see the players you list as being kept on

Sat 4 January @ 15.00 Braintree v Spurs u21 (National League Cup - not a competition we have done well in)

Last u21 squad :
Maguire, Ashcroft (Elliott-Parris 84), McKnight, King, Andiyapan (Byrne 76), Robson (c), Adewole (Ajayi 63), Tyrese Hall, O Irow (Williams 63), Black (Beggs 63), T Thompson (Akhamrich 63).
Substitute (not used): Bloedorn.

Note we are starting to try out some of Academy Year 1 players (shown in blue above) into u21's for reasons as discussed in last few posts.

Our next u18 game is on Tues 7 January @ 19.00 Grimsby Town v Spurs u19's (4th Round of FA Youth Cup)

Are we sure he's been injured all this time?

After being an almost ever present for Spurs u18's last season he didn't feature in any match this season, except once on bench for u21's and then next u21 match for last 10 mins as a sub, and not seen since.

I picked up a rumour he was injured at start of season, and guess it was a bad one which recurred when he tried to come back (as has happened to Odobert, Van de Ven and Romero for first team).

No I'm not sure.

I meant Robson. I keep getting those 2 mixed up!
I forgot to mention Craig, who also enters his final season in 2024-25, but I expect he will be transferred before then.

I hope there is no issue with it being 3pm.

Tuesday 7 January @ 19.00 Grimsby Town v Spurs u19's (4th Round of FA Youth Cup)

Last Spurs u18 squad
B Irow, Orr (Logan 57), Byrne, Byfield (c), Egan-Riley, Tye Hall (Williams-Barnett 61), Moncur (Salter 79), Feeney, Lehane, Oliver (Thomas 79), T Thompson.
Substitute (not used): D Thompson.

The FA Youth Cup is a highly regarded competition in youth circles with the strongest possible teams usually selected - however with the First team having a match on Wednesday, with plenty of injured players, its uncertain which squad the likes of Malachi Hardy will appear in - first team bench or FA Youth Cup starting X1.

Yesterday's postponement of the u21 match may also have released a couple of u18's originally earmarked to play for u21's

QPR Fan here with some free time on my hands so thought I'd give an update on a former youth player of yours, Kieran Morgan.

He's been brilliant. We only brought him in in the summer after he was released by Spurs, seems like we often pick up ex Spurs kids and stick them in our academy. Not many go on to make it with us but Morgan certainly has. Only 18 and has been ever present in our side since October and has made 20 appearances with us while also chipping in with a goal and a couple of assists.

Mature for his age, very comfortable on the ball, composed, great passing and vision on him too. Fits into our midfield 3 like a glove and has dislodged a marquee (for us) signing with relative ease. His playstyle is akin to a young Paul Scholes imo, pretty tenacious, finds space, links up well and always looking to move the ball forward with through balls.

Seems a bizarre one that Spurs let him go tbh. I'm not saying he's the second coming of Luca Modric or that he will captain England to a world cup win but he has all the makings of someone who will play in the Premiership one day. The kind of guy that Spurs could have loaned out and eventually sold for a decent few or even used as a squad player ala Skipp or Winks of years gone by.

He needs to bulk up a bit but he's only 18 so that will come in time. But all in all he's a very tidy player who doesn't look out of place in the championship.
He was brilliant in our new year's day against Watford and got a pretty neat assist from a free kick routine for our first goal.

Not suggesting by any means that we've done you over by signing him lol, it's a pretty big gulf between you and us but it does strike me as a bit odd that you let a player with bags of talent go.

I've heard from other QPR fans that he was recommended to us after his release by Bradley Allen.

We're playing Luton tonight in what will be a pretty heated game as there's lots of bad blood between us especially in recent years. Morgan will very likely start the game for us, think we're live on Sky if you fancy checking up on him tonight.
