To be fair, did Poch have any other true choice ... other than Dawson (whom clearly wasn't rated)? Vlad seems miles away from the first team and Veljkovic (sp?!?) is still quite young to run out in your first two games at the helm.

Well on the bright side at least we have the upper hand on Monaco
The whole thing kind of sucks because I've always been a fan of Dawson. He's slipped and at times just been a liability for us, but he's always been a great ambassador of the club, a professional, a leader, and someone that I think that younger players could look up to.
He wouldn't be in line to be part of my starting 11, but I'm sad to see him go.

If we can land Welbeck than I could see us willing to swap Townsend for MS. Lot of moving parts, but I think it could happen.
The worrying thing is I wouldn't know if we were getting the best of that deal or not.
