true. It was exactly what happen. But i don't see him leaving, we have a lot of (good) midfielders but we need Sergio to the champions league list.Heard it was more of a loan where Pacos owned 50% of him and so did Porto with Porto having a buy back clause (as he was theirs originally). A bit like how Italian clubs have a co-own. I don't think it was a natural sale and buy back by any means.
So for me, him leaving Porto could still happen despite the buy back. He looked to have flourished at Pacos so Porto, the money smelling club that they are, bought him back 100% and sell him on for money, preferably to Spurs.

Your avatar pic is melting my brain!
Well we have spent nearly £20m already of that effectively raised £30-35m. Unless this year we are going to got into the £15 - 20m+ net spend on transfers, which we have done about 5 times in 15 years - & only once in the last 6 - we may do.Wow, if Dembele also gets sold, expect something big from Levy. We have effectively raised/will raise 30-35 million pounds by selling all the midfielders who were basically nowhere near the first team last season. I hope it is someone bigger than McCarthy! Have nothing against him, but with 30-35 million made from sales, we should go all out for a Moutinho + Bender/Kramer combo or atleast something similar with 2 really good players replacing 5-6 average players.

That's fine, but sets us up for a poor start again. We have some glaring weaknesses in our squad. We started at the wrong end I think. Should have sorted out the midfielder and the attackers first. I am aware that's easy to say from the armchair thoughDon't know why people are getting frustrated. Levy himself said he expects business to pick up again the last 2 weeks of the window. Have some patience and let's see how we look when the window is closed.
