Most things go over his head
In fairness, if they say some were unironically against bringing him in - then I'll take their word for it.

Any sources for this?

I'm quite sure Woodward, Gazidis and Soriano are paid more.

As I said, he was paid this.

In 2010 Levy reportedly got £1 mil after benefits, he was the 8th highest paid Chairman. I'm not sure why he thinks his wage should be doubled since he got us into the CL, but oh well.

In 2013 Levy got £2.2 million. The highest was £2.6 million.

In 2014 Levy was the highest paid chairman with £2.6 million.

In 2016 Levy is the 4th highest - £2.17 million a year. The highest is £2.5 million.

You also need to bear in mind here that Levy isn't just a chairman. He also owns 29% of the club and he'll get any benefits or profit on top of his normal wages. Therefore he's earning £2.2 million + whatever else part-ownership gets him.

The point stands - Levy tends to always be one of the very highest paid chairmen in football, with only United and City really getting a significant amount more and even that is only £300k more.

This was just a quick google search - I'm not going to go mega in depth and fact check it all or find ultra reliable sources and go through the accounts of every club. Frankly, I know he's paid a very high amount, usually one of the top.

It would he put 'frustrated with Levy Stalling '
Funny how old Ben knows this.
If he needed to play CL then there is just one club he would go to.
He obviously just wants out of Newcastle and his agent and Newcastle to cash in on his Euro price increasing form.
His price has risen 12 fold in 4 seasons down to what?
To put that in perspective bale cost us £7m and was sold for about 13 x what we paid for him.

After a quick google Daily Mail is saying he's the 4th highest - £2.17 million a year. The highest is £2.5 million.

Levy currently owns 0% - his share holding only comes into effect at point of a sale of the club whilst he is Chairman.

We really are a two bit cheapo club sometimes, it's utterly embrassing how we try this shit over and over. If I was the Newcastle board I'd tell us to fuck off.

Imagine if another club came in for Chadli and offered 5 million, then kept on coming back with weak arse bid after weak arse bid, the club and the fans would never want to sell anyone to that club again.

If any Spurs fan can't see how this stuff makes us look on transfer after transfer they need their eyes opening. In this particularly case granted £30 million is over the odds, in which case we shouldn't even be spending time on it haggling away when we could be chasing others.

I disagree totally - Spurs shameless low bids is a meme which spreads among clubs wanting to create competition to raise the price or get som media-time and please their own supporters (ref WB which would be totally forgotten as a club if Berahino didn´t exist). There are probably ten times as many low bids from other clubs that go unreported.
