Depends on whose model. Caley's no. Riley's yes. Not sure about the others. It's really all about xG and not just shots, but I believe we were tops on that department too.

Keep thinking this. He does not walk into our team. He is a great talent who has dropped off the pace considerably. People seem to think "ooh Gotze- great signing #cumface" without actually thinking that we have players who are in much better form, are of a similar (or younger) age, & who are equally deserving of the kind of wages he will command. Not saying Poch couldn't whip him back into shape, but 25-30 million plus over 100k a week? I don't see Levy going for that,
Spending a large sum on one player is not something we should shirk from- new stadium or not. But I can't say I'm overwhelmed at the prospect of Gotze or Wijnaldum. Gotze reminds me of Party Boy from Jackass & has not fulfilled his potential. Wijnaldum is not worth anything like the £25 million that is being reported. I trust Poch & co to get it right, & if we sign either they would get fully supported by the fans, but it's all a bit meh for the money that is being talked about.
Our signings are always on a pretty similar career trajectory - players join us on compromised wages as the career path to clubs like Real Madrid, Man Utd etc is clear and well trodden.
Gotze won't take a wage drop to join us (if he has to then it means no one else wants him - then you have to question why) and we won't break our wage structure to sign him.
Because they're just climbing off the Pep Guardiola ride.
He's not exactly a manager who gets the most out of players, imo. I don't know for a fact, but I'm not aware of many players he's actually improved.

Sort of like a poor man's Mourinho
we signed Kevin Prince Boateng.......I don't think we should start being picky now
When the footballing great Nick Barmby left us for Middlesbrough?
Had so many high hopes for the 'Ghetto Kid', seemed to do pretty well after leaving us as per usual but seems to have disappeared again. Is he still at Schalke?
