Transfers Summer 2016 Transfer Window Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Mauro Icardi an Inter Milan player has stated he wants to move this summer but he just signed a new contract last year.
Athletico Madrid and Spurs both have interest in the forward but the asking price of 34 Million is out of Spurs Budget this summer. But Mauro Icardi is not in the top transfer targets for Spurs as they are focusing on Janssen and Wijnaldum for this summer.

He won't - fans hate him

I really have no idea. They will definitely hate him if he comes back and he's not the player he was before. If he comes back, says the right things, he and Reus start banging them in like the old days ... the fans will get over it pretty quickly.

Their fans really don't want Schürrle though it seems ... it's viciously negative to him on the forums I trolled through. His star has really, really fallen (for good reason, he's kind of shit).

As vadimivich vadimivich said. He's sitting on the bench, not starting for Germany, and he looks like this.

He's Thomas Brolin mk2 isn't he. Don't let him come to England and discover our delightful pies, fish n chips, fried brekkie and Sunday roasts (food type). However I am sure Pochettino's double sessions would whip him into shape.

If 'Arry was charge Gotze would have no chance he'd be allowed ketchup with his pie, "Mario, Mario fackin' wholk ahbat a bit..." :harryhmm:

He wore a Nike T-Shirt to his signing with them, lol - they are still mad about that. I'm sure Nike is paying whatever apparel fines Bayern keeps hitting him with.

Is it any wonder Bayern want shot of him due to his Nike association and by the looks of things his poor fitness? If he's a Nike mega star then surely he would be pushed to a club that has Nike kit sponsorship? Expect him to sign for the Chavs....

You don't need to start a new thread for every topic. Most of the time, any transfer talk just goes in here.

Would have said the same about VDV. I don't see a single fucking reason why he wouldn't come to us. We have champions league football and a fantastic squad that I'm sure he can see is going places and should want to be a part of.
Except that we got VdV for around 7m or something similar while Gotze would cost quadruple that if not more

Gotze will go for 20 or less. He isn't wanted and he is wanted off of the wage bill. They sell him now for cheap £15-25 million, or lose another 5 million in wages for a player they won't be playing who then fucks off for free at the end of the season.

I know which one Levy would do. And I doubt their chairman is a moron.

Guessing the fee is in the region of £20m, final year of contract. Perhap's it's getting his wages off their accounts that will be Bayern's biggest saver. It is similar to the VdV situation as both clubs want rid. Figures banded about today not to dissimilar in relation to the money floating about then and now. £7m 6 years ago is probably equal to £15-20m in today's TV riches. Money in football is obscene, especially as we're about to be financially crippled as a nation.

I don't personally think he will come, if he did it could well be a master stroke if he knuckles down to prove he's still the future of German football. Would also offer good competition to our attacking midfield 3 positions.

Why are we trying to sign Mario Gotze's dad? The Tottenhsm Legends are doing ok at the moment, no?
Went to see the legends Saturday at new River stadium. At one point they were 4-1 down to a part time team. Ending up winning 5_1 partly down to some ringer call Mickey something who I never seen or heard play for Tottenham.

So goatze dad would fit in perfectly.

By the way I am thinner than Nethercott and my kids sing to me that my belly's offside

4-1 down... won 5-1...
how is that mathematically possible?

I'm sure the up-and-coming Nike partnership wont have any influence but there is something that niggles me about it all. I was told two years before Beckham went to the States he was off, and had signed a contract which was co-funded by Fifa as they wanted to push 'Soccer' in the US.

Could it be a bit far fetched to think we're currently negotiating stadium naming rights with Nike who have said a key ambassador would make a deal more likely? Did Levy sign Yedlin for the American market and UA for NFL exposure? He has a game plan and perhaps this is part?

I've seen quite a few things in sport that run this way, it's makes me pretty cynical...
