Yeah, but who you do you drop from the starting 11? You cant just assume we will get any injuries!
Dier over Sissoko or Winks...FFS
Just on Twitter. I love how there are so many that slag off the clubs policies and methods yet they completely choose to ignore or refuse to accept that it's those very principles and methods that have got us to where we are at present.
People saying they're sick and tired of it yet we have just secured our 4th Champions League qualification in a row, recorded world record profits ahead of some mental clubs far bigger than ours which if you like it or not does help us become a bigger team long term, have one of the most talking about football stadiums in the world and got to a Champions League final.
Go on any Twitter feed about our club and it's just constant bile.
People think we have an awful transfer policy? We currently have 6 players ranked in the top 100 most valuable players on the planet. We really don't donas bad as some make out but because we don't put our hands in our pockets all the time it gets a fair old amount of stick it must be said:
Kane, Dele, Son, Sanchez, Lucas & Eriksen all make the list of most valuable. When you take into account the fact we have a World Cup winning goalkeeper who'd be higher up if he was younger and two top class central defenders who would be higher up the list if it wasn't for their contract situations or age all in all we have a pretty impressive track record at present yet it's still slated.
Why are so many people seemingly so fed up with what we do? Our infrastructure has doubled in size, that in itself shows huge progression, as does our ability to develop talent further. I see very little wrong with what we are doing and it is still early days this summer it has to be said.
We should thank God Chelsea knocked us out in the semi's or it would have cost us 4th or getting to the final of the CL.Everyone wants a League Cup, as long as it doesn't come at the expense of:
- Champions League (playing or qualifying for)
- Premier League (winning or top 4)
- FA Cup
- Europa League (to qualify for CL)
- Literally anything else related to Spurs
Plastic fans smhYeah, but who you do you drop from the starting 11? You cant just assume we will get any injuries!
Because the current business model has taken us as far as it can.
Criticising the way we operate doesn't mean we aren't grateful for how far that Levy and ENIC have taken us, it just means that we realise that the model we operated under before isn't going to be successful anymore given our current improved position in football.
We are victims of our own success in this regard but make no mistake, if we want to move to the next level we have to operate differently going forward.
Unless of course people are happy with what we have and don't care about winning major trophies.
You know I always thought Pleat was a fine manager and we made a huge mistake getting rid of him just to make room for Venables just because he was a name. Fucking awful manager who dragged us down.Never forget that David Pleat had to work very hard to convince Levy it was worth paying the 5 mill needed to sign Dele.
That's what we are dealing with here with regards to Levy
You're not a cunt. You're honest and you can see the truth. Levy will eventually ruin this team through greed and knowing fuck all about the game. I can't believe Poch hasn't just buggered off. But he will. It's inevitable.Levy lowballs because both him and ENIC have no intention of signing top draw players that have a negative impact on profit.
They will never change and we will eventually lose our best manager because of it, feel free to quote this post and call me a cunt at the end of the window if I am wrong.
And so are you. He's absolutely right.
Nice post. But I think it's a big if that we will become a huge club. & whilst we aren't, picking up trophies & keeping in the top 4 is the best we can hope for. Also usually picking up the small trophies is part of the process of becoming a huge club. I think you can look too far ahead sometimes. Football changes very quickly. But Levy and Poch aren't planning on a plucky FA cup win against the odds. It's about being one of the huge clubs that trophies almost have a magnetic pull towards. The state of Man Utd, yet still shame us on the trophy front since Fergusson.
The trophys will come.
You do if you're LevyYou don't build a multi million dollar stadium and training ground and then not fill it with talented players.
We would concede 50 plus league goals easily
Who no fuckers heard of.....I need signings too - West ham just bought someone for fucks sake.
