I hope you're right. Personally I'd like the squad together for a full pre-season. I don't know when ours is but 1 July seems to be a good assembly date.

That's next week.

Start of preseason is 7 July so pointless asking them to go to training ground before then ( and Poch isn't back yet from hols either ). First few days are about medical assessments etc so nothing much happening coaching wise before about 14 July.

"Newcastle loanee Salomon Rondon will be available this summer for his buyout clause of £16.5m transfer fee, unless West Bromwich Albion succeed in their bid for Premier League promotion."

I've been of the opinion we should keep Llorente but if Rondon is available at that price and willing to get splinters from the bench...

Mitrovic again a good option with the same proviso.
As has been mentioned, Mitrovic has nothing to do with this Newcastle thing as he signed for Fulham last year. Unless you were just mentioning him, then apologies for pointing out the obvious.

We spent recently on Sanchez and Aurier.. Spending doesn't mean success.

£25m Aurier
£25m Lucas
£30m Sissoko
£20m Janssen
£10m Llorente
£10m Nkoudou
£40m Sanchez
£160m in total for a group that hasn't penetrated our strongest XI when fully fit.

c£75m gave us a team of Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Dier, Winks, Eriksen, Dele, Son, Kane, all of which we are still able to field present day who many would argue when fully fit is close to our strongest XI.

Then buy better.

None of our U23 squad made the U21 European finals taking place at the minute. Not one. It's safe to say that the solution isn't going to come from that department

Debatable.
To start with, none of the 7 players were known to anyone before they came to Spurs without going to individual details, they were purchased in the hope they will come good in the future, few did and more than few didn't. Spurs in not like city, chelsea, manu or liverpool who buy ready made players.
With last season forms, would rather have Sissoko and Lucas and instead of Dier and Dele.

We spent on every player in this squad bar Kane and Winks, shall we just ditch this spending thing and only play academy players...
Yet to see a team win anything with a team entirely made up of their academy, so spending may not always mean success, but not spending definitely means no success.

Yeah coz that's what I said isn't it??

We will never know whether we would have won anything had we signed a bunch of new players.
I trust Poch and his philosophy.
