Is this confirmed or just speculation? Eriksen I have staying and pretty sold on Toby staying as well. We should be giving raises and if we do win the CL, why leave?
If we win the cl what’s here for a guy like eriksen? He wants to play on a big club in Spain. It’s not about the money. Toby is about the money. He can earn 5x what he does here. It’s the contract of his life right now

Yesterday’s match once again showed us we are in dire need of replacing Trippier.

We need new fullbacks all together while I’m at it. That and new impulses on the midfield. Big Vic and Sissoko aren’t starting material even when we have injuries.

Regardless of whether or not Sissoko is a starter next season, that sentence is preposterous.

My wishlist in CM midfield next year

Winks - reliable, good energy, Spurs through and through
Dier - versatile, power ful...has had a bad year of injuries.
Adrien Rabiot - box to box, skilful, creative, passing range.
Grealish - good back up, creative, good passing range,
Donny van den beek - high energy, box to box, goal threat

DVDB and rabiot are probably not likely though. Gomes is a decent back up, but that’s all he is. Ndomle would be magic, but really unlikely. Don’t know enough about Diawarra or Lo Celso- but both interest me, especially the latter.

Blast from the past, Halilovic

Must be the hopeless romantic in me to think players would want to keep the mojo going especially after winning the biggest club competition in the world.

This is my stance:
  • Spurs are in the proverbial "window" where you have greatness on your hands and the time to win is now
  • The club must retain their best and bring in depth and starting potential
  • To let Eriksen and Toby walk would be regressive
I don't see a more attractive destination than Tottenham and we as a club need to pay the players handsomely to win some trophies. A 3 year deal to Toby and a 5 to Christian. Make them say no. If we let them walk we need to fill their spots and continue to build the depth needed to compete. They are essentially new signings.

It's also worth noting that contracts are far cheaper than transfers. You don't just replace Toby and Christian.

Edit: I see Eriksen as a sensible, calm, pragmatic person that sees the big picture. His legacy can be Tottenham. He can travel to Spain on holidays and when we win in Madrid.

Bale has been offered to anyone who will take him, RM will even pay some of his salary next season. They want a club to loan with a condition to buy next summer, but as he is contracted until 2022 that would mean committing to two further years of his 11m a year salary ... no way will do that ...

I wanted Ga-reth back but I was convinced by a few on here that it's not such a good idea. The injuries, the financial package, he is no longer the player that we saw in his last season for us before he left.

I think only Utd and Chelsea will be interested
